What type of unicycle should you put these cranks on?

These cranks are those fitted by default on the following unicycles:

These cranks are compatible with all unicycles that have a square axis. They will not be compatible with the Isis star system generally found on high-end unicycles.

114mm, a versatile crank good for initiation:

114mm cranks are generally used on 20 inch unicycles intended for initiation. Perfect on smooth, level ground. They are the right length for a comfortable ride. Their length allows beginners to exercise good control over their wheel and thus maintain good balance. Experienced unicyclists will have a preference for shorter cranks (flat / smooth ground).

Help assembling your cranks:

We have put together a little manual for you! The document is downloadable with advice and information on how to screw your pedals onto your unicycle:

Download Document Cranks / Pedals

Information to bear in mind when fitting your cranks: if you fit them the wrong way, you will damage the thread of the cranks and the pedals will unscrew while riding. Make sure that the crank marked R is on the right and that the L is on the left!

How to use the square crank?

A square crank is suitable for strolling / riding. They will be suitable for occasional use. These are usually the cranks on beginner, family unicycles. In circus schools, they are also found on versatile Luxus / Only One unicycles. Be careful, however, they are not suitable if you do jumps with your unicycle. From time to time you will need to check the tightness of these. At the slightest jiggle, stop using the unicycle to tighten your cranks. If you practice with a loose crank it will quickly deteriorate and you will need to replace it.

How to change a unicycle crank?

To change a unicycle crank, you will need to equip yourself with a crank puller. You will find them on our site in the tools category. You will also need a 15 mm spanner to tighten your pedals on your cranks.
