NetJuggler's opinion:
These rings are hard to put on because they are difficult to open by hand. You will need to bring a small pliers or a screw. With a screw, you can easily spread the ring to pass a chain or an accessory. In return for their difficulty to be opened, they are very robust and therefore suitable for your assemblies of fire equipment.
