70 mm matte finish stage ball:

The 70mm Eozoé stage balls have an ideal touch for juggling. The 70mm version is the most used in juggling with three balls. This ball has a firm surface which facilitates the rotation of the ball when rolled on the body.

The main advantage of these balls is that they are the most robust. Stage balls are hollow plastic balls. They are used originally on stage because their round shape is perfect with stage lighting. This particular model with a diameter of 70mm is recommended for children, teenagers and adults. This model is made with the rotational moulding system in France for NetJuggler.

Better understanding of stage balls:

I made a short video below that showcases this stage ball model, compares it to older versions, and puts its size in context while explaining possible uses. The video also alludes to the shiny version of the same ball.

The matte finish allows the balls to stick together a little less than when you have a glossy finish. It catches light a little less than the shiny version of the same ball.

Netjuggler's opinion:

For this ball we have opted for a UV dye free PVC. This allows the ball to better preserve its color during an exposure to the sun.
Both beginners and experienced jugglers can use these balls, but they are not our first recommandation for beginners. See the paragraph a little lower entitled "What kind of use ?":-).

What kind of use ?

Since 2022 we now manufacture this model with a softer structure which makes it more pleasant to juggle with. But it is not the most pleasant ball to juggle with, nor the easiest to use for beginners because it is smooth and more rigid than other models that we sell. If you are a beginner, I would tend to recommend a slightly more flexible ball like the Varana 441 for example.

On the other hand, it is the perfect ball for rolls on the ground or in guides. The ball being very round it's perfect for educational exercises in group circus lessons, to roll the balls from one person to another. It is also worth noting that this model is waterproof and floats, so it can be used on bodies of water, at the swimming pool etc.

Manufacture of the balls:

Here are some pictures of where our balls are made. The moulds on the picture are our 100mm ball moulds. Moulds for this 70mm ball are smaller:-). The rotational moulding system is used. It's a manufacturing process where the plastic is put in liquid form into the moulds. The moulds spin fast enough for the plastic to be coated on the sides of the mould. We are very proud to manufacture our juggling balls in France, only a few hours away from where we are settled :-). We are just a quick drive away from saying that we make our balls locally :-).

Comments about the price:

Among the comments on this item you will find below, someone told us that this ball was too expensive. It's important for me to clarify this: This ball is made thanks to the rotational moulding system in France. As we are a small structure we do not have an automatic electronic weighing system. So our manufacturing process is quite crafty. We could offer you a better rate by working with an industrial company abroad or by importing balls like these from China. It is a choice of our part to manufacture this item locally, and it is your choice as a customer to support a French production:-).
