80cm Truck loop- PETZL

Sling sold individually.
Informations on the truck loop:
Temporary anchoring device.
A sling that creates a temporary anchor for many different aerial equipment: aerial hoops, some trapezes, aerial silks etc.
We will then attach the apparatus to it using carabiners.
This is the 80cm version of the truck loop. It is also available on our website in 60cm, 120cm and 150 cm. The length is chosen according to the structure where you install your aerial equipment.
In the advertised product length of 80cm, we refer to the useful length of the sewn ring (see the drawings).
Installation on a beam:
You will need to know the size of the beam to then choose the size of the sling to use. If the beam over which you pass the truck loop is square with sharp edges, consider protecting the sling by sliding a piece of carpet, for example, between the beam and the truck loop, to limit wear on the sling. Check its condition before each use. Always replace it if it shows signs of wear. The safety of the person using the apparatus attached to it is at stake.
Example installation:
Below is an example of using a sewn ring to create an anchor point. The carabiner is not included with the purchase of the truck loop, it is shown only for the staging of the sewn ring. For this type of installation you need to be able to pass the sewn ring above your beam. If you don't have space above your beam, we have another method that you can set up with a anchor plate.
I was on my own to film, sorry for the poor quality of my performance, but I think that will clarify for some how to use a ring sewn around a beam to make an anchor point.

Is this what you put between the aerial hoop and the ceiling hook?
The sewn ring can indeed be used to hold an aerial hoop in place. There are many different ways to attach your aerial hoop. It can be at the end of one or more ropes for example or directly with a fixation using the sewn ring, then carabiner, then swivel (optional), then hoop fixation, then hoop. In the case where you attach it close to the ceiling, you will limit the type of figures you practice. I invite you to consult our product sheets on aerial hoops for more information, there are some photos of examples of attachment at the level of the hoop).
