89mm, a short crank:
A smaller crank allows you to go fast. In return, you will have to force more uphill and downhill. If you are out of balance, it will be harder to find your balance with short cranks like these.
This type of crank is used on 20 inch Freestyle unicycles used by experienced riders. They allow you to gain speed quickly and obtain a fluid pedaling.
Help with assembling your cranks:
We have put together a little manual for you! The document is downloadable with advice and information on how to screw your pedals onto your unicycle:
Download Document Cranks / PedalsInformation to remember when mounting your cranks: if you assemble them the wrong way, you will damage the thread of the cranks and the pedals will unscrew by themselves while riding. Make sure the crank marked R is on the right and the L is on the left!
Type of use:
A crank with the ISIS shape is very strong, more resistant than a square crank. The grooves allow a better contact surface between the crank and the axis of the unicycle. They will be suitable for occasional or intensive use, as well as for jumping. These are usually the cranks on rather high-end unicycles. They are found on Freestyle and trial unicycles, as well as on the majority of quality unicycles. From time to time you will need to check the tightness of these. At the slightest jiggle, stop using the unicycle to tighten your cranks. If you practice with a loose crank it will quickly deteriorate and you will need to replace it.
Change the cranks:
To change an ISIS crank, you will need to be equipped with a crank extractor because it is forcefully pressed on the axis of the unicycle.
