Informations on the aerial silk:
The French Circus School Federation advocates changing your aerial silk every 3 years and gives a maximum duration of use of 300 hours.
Video of the hook with silk + carabiner:

The video shows a scenario of the fabric bell. On this page, the carabiner as well as the fabric are not provided, they are on the video, only for demonstration.
Hook:
The unique design of the CIRCUS DIVISION range hook features a silicone coated stainless steel core with no welding or exposed metal parts. The silicone coating has a thickness of 1 cm (the total weight of the hook is 630 g),not only it is protecting your fabric, but the silicone also protects the steel core from any impact that may occur during use and / or when transporting the material.
To install your aerial silk, a round structure used as a support (tubular in this case) is essential. This round-shaped section is used because there is no angles. Indeed, with the tension, if you attach your fabric to a structure that does not have this shape the fabric could undergo premature degradation or even tear up.
The use of a hook is essential.

How to tie a clove hitch knot ?
With the hook, make a clove hitch knot to preserve your fabric. This makes it possible not to generate throttling constraints which could break the frame.

- 1 Twist the fabric on itself in the middle part, where you can find the product label, to make it thinner and easier to handle.
- 2 Create a loop of approx. 10 cm in diameter.
- 3 Create a second loop of equal size on the right, next to the first loop. It is important that the 2 loops are made as shown in the picture.
- 4 Overlap the second loop (the one on the left) on the first loop. The clove hitch knot is complete.
- 5 Slide the hook inside the knot. At this point, the fabric is still quite voluminous.
- 6 Pull the ends and adjust the knot so that it tapers and is well positioned between the two silicone edges.
- 7 Secure the 2 ends of the anchor loop to the carabiner (not supplied).
- Once assembled, with your weight on the fabric the knot will become thinner and automatically orient itself in the correct position.
This hook optimizes the lifespan of the fabric.
Safety:
The hook is certified for a maximum working load of about 150 kg (150 dN) with a safety factor of 10: 1, which means that the steel can be subjected to a load of approx. 1500 kg. Considering that the elasticity of the silicone coating dampens the effect of the load and that the entire system is rigged using a nylon anchor loop certified to support up to 4500 kg (45 kn) , here we have the strongest and safest hook on the market today.

Is this bell compatible with the open swivel? From the pictures it looks like it needs a classic carabiner because the nylon anchor loop looks thick.
Excellent question :-). The fabric bell can be mounted with the Petzl Swivel Open... We also sell a kit with the Swivel Open on our website, I invite you to consult the kit page where you can see photos of the assembly.
Hello, I don't understand how to fix the bell to the ceiling?
Thank you in advance
You'll need an anchor point on the ceiling where you want to install the fabric bell. This anchor point must be able to exert pressure of up to about a ton. This is because we don't consider the weight of the person practicing, but rather their weight in motion. There are several possible configurations depending on your ceiling. On a load-bearing beam of your building's structure, if there is clearance above, you can use a sewn ring or sling, then a carabiner to connect it to your fabric bell. If there is no space above your beam, then we have an anchor plate that will screw into your beam with screws provided that are made to withstand the pressure exerted on the anchor point. If your ceiling is made of concrete, we offer the same anchor plate with special fasteners that must be chemically sealed. Please note that you will need to consult an approved contractor, mason, or architect to verify the feasibility and implementation of this type of project. To attach the fabric bell to this anchor plate you will need a carabiner or a link. You will find these elements on our site here . If you have any questions, we will be happy to answer your questions by phone at 05 55 56 25 79
Good morning,
I would like to hang the fabric on a tree, do I need another attachment in addition to the bell? (carabiner, swivel, etc.)
First, make sure your tree can withstand about 1 ton of pressure. You'll need a sturdy branch. Ideally, place a sling around your branch. Then, attach a carabiner between the sling and the fabric bell. Your fabric will be placed directly on the bell.
Hello, what is the total height of the bell please?
THANKS
What is the CMU of this bell please? Thank you.
The CMU corresponds to 100 daN. You will find all this information in the bell safety certificate which you can download in the product description or by clicking here .
Good morning !
I would like to purchase a 10m fabric and a fabric bell. Is it necessary to purchase a swivel to hang the bell?
THANKS
Using a swivel is a personal choice. It depends on whether you want your fabric to be able to rotate or not. It's absolutely not a requirement.
