Body for Albatross club
Item sold individually.
Albatross club body:
This club body (or bulb) will allow you to manufacture your Albatros type club assembly yourself. It also allows you to repair your clubs by replacing the existing bulb.
The Albatros body is compatible with the handle of the long Delphine club as well as with the handle of the Albatros club.
The body of the Albatros club is exactly the same length as the body of the long Delphine club. See photo below.
NetJuggler's opinion:
Changing the body of the club is relatively simple. Simply unscrew the top end of the club using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the tape in the center of the club, then replace the body. Be sure to use the same original screw from the same manufacturer when refitting the end cap to the bulb, as this is essential to prevent damage to the wood. This screw is very strong and will not break if you drop your club on the screw.
Since the beginning of 2023, this club body has only been available in white. Henrys has stopped production of this body in other colours.
If you have clubs that date from before 2013, this new body may not be compatible with your grip. To know if this body is compatible with your handle, you'll need this notched system that we see in the photo below. On the photo below we see a long Delphine handle, if you have an Albatros handle, the notched aspect goes all the way around the handle. On the older generation (before 2013) there was no notched system at all, everything was smooth and assembled with staples (replaced today by this notched system).
NetJuggler tips:
Replacing the bulb of the club:
- When replacing the end cap on the bulb, be sure to use the same original screw from the same manufacturer. This is important to avoid damaging the wood. In addition, these screws are very strong and will not break if you drop your club on the screw.
- If you are repairing an old club and the screw spins loosely when you replace the top bit, it may be due to wear on the club. In this case, we recommend that you place a wooden match in the hole with a little wood glue, then put in the new screw. This simple trick will breathe new life into your club.
