Description of the Reception Mattress

This landing mattress is made of polyester foam with a density of 23kg/ ^m3 and a colored vinyl tarpaulin cover. In addition, it has a stabilizing surface made of polyethylene foam with a density of 33kg/ ^m3 . This 650g coated polyester cover has a yellow-circled pressure relief grid, carrying handles, a zipper and a non-slip base. All our landing mattresses comply with NF 12503.1 type 8 standards.

Note regarding use with aerials

To date, there are no official standards or regulations regarding the use of landing mats for the practice of aerial disciplines.

The French Federation of Circus Schools (FFEC) does, however, make recommendations: it recommends the use of landing mattresses with a minimum dimension of 2 m x 2 m, with a thickness of 20 cm or 40 cm depending on the height at which the activity is carried out.

It is also worth noting that only one manufacturer in Italy currently offers a mattress certified for working heights below 4 meters.

It is important to remember that even when complying with the specifications recommended by the FFEC, the risk of serious or fatal accidents cannot be completely ruled out. Using a mattress does not guarantee absolute safety.
