Diabolo Comet:
If you are a diabolist who is just starting out and discovering the art of diabolo, then this diabolo will be suitable for you to discover the discipline. The Diabolo Comet is equipped with the same axle as its little brother, the Astro diabolo from the same manufacturer.
It is medium in size and the fact that it is made of flexible plastic means that it can be used indoors and outdoors . The plastic domes of this diabolo are made of very resistant flexible plastic.

NetJuggler's opinion on the Comet diabolo:
Made in Italy by Play, this diabolo is one of the best diabolos that can be put in the hands of a beginner for this price. Its weight is greater than that of the Astro diabolo, which really allows you to extend your first steps and discover some more advanced tricks than with the Astro diabolo.
Technical characteristics:
- Mass: 222 g.
- Diameter: 11.3 cm.
- Height: 12.6 cm.
- Axle: fixed , steel.
- Soft plastic shell.
For what type of practice?
- Diabolo for beginners: children, teenagers, adults.
- To practice with 1 diabolo. If you want to practice with several diabolos at the same time, NetJuggler advises you to opt for larger diabolos .
- Recommended for circus initiation workshops: robust, reliable and affordable equipment.
Information about the manufacturer Play Juggling:
Play Juggling manufactures this item in Italy. Play items are renowned for being of good quality, with particular care given to the finishes. Among their range of products we find initiation equipment but also renowned equipment used by entertainment professionals.
Optional complementary products:
Aluminum sticks are excellent for beginners, especially because they are easier to use than wooden sticks to perform "slides", a figure where the diabolo rolls on the sticks, this is one of the favorite tricks of beginners.
Optional illuminated kit for COMET . You can add a light kit to your order. This fits on the Comet diabolo to allow you to create impressive lighting effects in the dark.
Roll of string : Remember to plan for the diabolo string to wear out! The string wears out particularly quickly among beginners who tend to have jerky movements compared to more experienced diabolists who will generally practice more gently.
Why a medium-sized diabolo?
If you have browsed our site a little, you will see that we regularly recommend medium-sized diabolos... Why? Small diabolos are very difficult to use because they immediately lose the speed you give them. Large diabolos are excellent but may be too heavy for younger children and are more expensive. The medium-sized diabolos offer excellent value for money and are suitable for both young and old to learn the basics of the discipline!

Good morning.
I would like to buy diabolos for my 6 and 8 year old children.
I'm torn between the Comet and the Jester. Which one do you recommend I get?
Or another one in the same price range?
The two diabolos you mentioned are great for beginners. They're heavy enough to have good inertia. Choose the ones they like best in terms of color!
THANKS !
And between Mister Babache's Jester and Harlequin? Is one more durable than the other? Are they both equipped with a wide axle?
The Harlequin Medium is made of rubber, the Jester is made of soft PVC. The PVC will be more robust after a few years of use. But honestly, both are really strong, among our selection of fixed axle diabolos in this price range, unless you run over them with a car, there is no reason to break a diabolo. The Jester has a slightly wider axle than the Harlequin Medium which will facilitate all tricks such as grinds/slides where the diabolo rolls on the sticks. Whichever you choose between these two models, you won't go wrong.
Hello, I am 16 years old and I currently have a small, simple diabolo for beginners. I only know how to do accelerations and throw it for now, but it loses a lot of speed and you can't do much with it. That's why I would like to buy a medium-sized diabolo but I don't know which one to choose. With the school we do circus art and I chose the diabolo. We are asked to do 3 figures (the acceleration is counted as one figure) I would like a suitable diabolo with which I could do two other figures that are too hard to learn. What do you recommend? Thank you in advance
The bigger the diabolo, the easier it is to do things with it. Among the medium-sized diabolos, the Comet diabolo will be perfect for learning many of the basic diabolo tricks. If you want something more progressive, there is the Vision diabolo, which is larger and closer to a professional diabolo while being reasonably priced.
Thank you very much for your reply. I forgot to mention that I was looking for a diabolo with ball bearings. Does the Vision diabolo have a ball bearing axle? Would the "DiaboloX 110mm v3 with Revolox triple high-speed bearing axle" be good?
Among the ball bearing diabolos, you have the medium-sized Cyclone Quartz diabolo which will be suitable for the use you wish to make of it.
The Vision diabolo exists in a version equipped with ball bearings, this is the diabolo: Vision Free .Thank you, that helped me a lot! ;)
Are fiberglass rods durable?
Fiberglass rods are durable, however, for intensive use, prefer aluminum or titanium rods.
I am not a beginner and I am looking for a diabolo to perform all tricks (slide, whip and excalibur without bearing).
Instead, go for a large diabolo like the Circus, the Taibolo V2, the A-Dream, etc.
To start juggling with 2 diabolos, is the Comet diabolo suitable? I have noted that a larger diabolo is better for juggling with 2 diabolos, but is this medium-sized diabolo sufficient to start with?
What age is this diabolo made for?
It's ideal for beginners and suitable for all ages from 7 years old. For younger children, the Astro model, also available on our website, will be more suitable.
I'm 10 years old and I'm an intermediate player. Should I get a lighter or heavier diabolo?
The bigger and heavier a diabolo is, the better balanced it is and the more it will maintain the speed you give it, allowing you to chain together more tricks more easily. Be careful, however, not to choose a diabolo that is too heavy, as it will tire you out quickly! I advise you to choose a medium-sized diabolo.
you're weird

I am an intermediate/amateur level, which diabolo would you recommend (I am 10 years old) and I already know how to do quite a few tricks, all the basic tricks and sequences.
Depending on your budget in mid-size: Jazz, Vision or Tornado
Hello, I would like to know if the Comet diabolos are good and also if they are made of rubber.
These are not rubber cases, but a soft plastic on this new version of the COMET (before it was a hard plastic)...
I had this diabolo but over the days the axle sank into the hulls which made it impossible to accelerate the diabolo
Don't hesitate to contact our support team; this diabolo comes with a one-year warranty. If you're out of warranty, I also invite you to contact us; we'll be happy to advise you as best we can over the phone.
As you practice, the axle begins to sink into the shells, which causes the wire to get tangled.
Hello, this behavior is not normal at all. This is a good diabolo for all beginners and it is quite strong! I think you must have had a major problem with the diabolo to observe this problem! Do not hesitate to contact our support, this diabolo is guaranteed for one year. If you are outside the warranty, I also invite you to contact us, we will advise you as best we can by phone.
You should put a photo with a person playing behind it, otherwise we won't see the actual size.
IT'S TRUE WHAT YOU SAY
In the meantime you have the dimensions in the description: - Diameter: 11.3 cm - Height: 12.6 cm
Having only tried low-end diabolos, the transition between a real diabolo (the COMET received about 3 months ago) and a fake diabolo at the first price (e.g. Toys...) is amazing, the plastic is both wide and flexible. You can really feel the robustness, it is magnificent in green. In short, don't hesitate.
On the other hand, it's true that it would be good to have real, good quality photos for each model. It would really make you want it more, otherwise there's nothing negative to say; it's a very complete and detailed site.
That's cool guys, what's the brand? I ordered it and I love it so much, you can do anything. However, the photo doesn't really make you want it. There should be real photos to compare.
The brand is PLAY, you should mention it.
The brand information is clearly present in the item description!
Excellent diabolo, very solid and quite beautiful! Very good site, keep up the good work.
I'm a beginner in diabolo, I know how to do some small tricks and I would like your advice. I would like one that can roll quickly, be able to do lots of tricks, that is solid and with a good choice of colors? The size of the diabolo is chosen in relation to what?
By the way, I wanted to ask you which of the two images is more similar to the real colors?
The photo in the description is the one that most closely resembles the diabolo in real life... The colors are rather fluorescent... Quite pretty if that's the desired effect! It's a matter of taste! But good question! It's not always easy to be super faithful to the colors with our amateur way of taking photos ;-) Sorry!
Hi everyone, I'm 20 years old, is the Comet right for me? I'm on a budget.
It all depends on your goals! If you want to discover the diabolo and have fun, then the COMET will allow you to do that, while having the opportunity to progress and do a lot of tricks. If you intend to practice seriously, and to progress a lot, this diabolo can be a first step before investing in a Finesse or a Circus which are 2 models of diabolos used by diabolists who practice a lot as well as by professionals.
