Black kevlar gloves
Item sold in pairs. By ordering this item once, you will receive a pair of gloves :-)
Pair of black gloves, in Kevlar:
These Kevlar gloves protect hands from heat when using fireballs. Kevlar gloves are the best protection. Be careful not to be confused with cotton gloves which tend to burn. These gloves offer you an excellent compromise between thermal resistance and dexterity.
In addition to being heat resistant, they offer excellent resistance to cuts, tears and abrasion.
Sold in pairs. Size: T8. For medium sized hands. If you have big hands, we also market them in size T10 (XL).
Technical characteristics of the gloves:
- A glove weighs around 30g, or 60g per pair.
- Material: Kevlar (fireproof).
- Several sizes available: T8 and T10.
- Sold in pairs.
- Colour: black.
Tips for using your Kevlar gloves:
With the use of fireballs, it is advisable to slightly dampen your gloves. This will increase their ability to delay heat from reaching your hands. Do not completely wet the gloves, this could have the opposite effect as water acts as a thermal conductor.
NetJuggler's opinion of the Kevlar gloves:
- NetJuggler has this model made in black, especially for shows so that the gloves are more discreet. You can use them for many different purposes to protect your hands using fire equipment.
- With Kevlar gloves, you can have good juggling sessions of 1 to 3 minutes with the fire balls that you will find on our website.
- Be careful, however, the gloves do not stop 100% from the heat, the temperature of the balls will increase.
- You will need to space the sessions so that the balls have time to cool down between each use.
Here's a bit more info on using gloves with fire juggling balls: On spiral fireballs like those from the manufacturer Fyrefli, there is no need to use gloves. But you can use them for safety, especially if you are a beginner.
On other models like the fireballs from the manufacturer Freaks, you will need gloves. Be careful though, the balls must be in motion all the time and long pauses between sessions are necessary for the balls to cool down. If the sessions are close together, your hands will get warmer and hotter. In a few sessions, you will be forced to stop.
Generally, fireballs are used for a WOW effect in shows for relatively short sessions, unlike torches that can be used for hours, session after session. Fireballs are also used for photo or video effects.
If you want to do long juggling sessions, fireballs are not the recommended equipment.
