Professional diabolo:

The Circus diabolo has certainly been the most popular diabolo among professionals for many years. This new model is a version of the Circus suitable for beginners and professionals after having undergone some modifications.

A large diameter and mass allow good inertia. Consequently, it will be less necessary to accelerate the diabolo continuously. This therefore leaves more time to perform tricks.

The cups of this diabolo are indestructible and will not disappoint the most demanding jugglers.

The great novelty is that the hubs are made of plastic. This is best for using with aluminum handsticks.

It also allows a weight reduction of 30 grams, which makes it easier to handle when practicing with several diabolos.

NetJuggler's opinion on the new Circus diabolo:

Today we have alternatives to the Circus diabolo at very attractive prices that will satisfy beginners, but if you are an experienced diabolist or looking for equipment with exemplary finishes, the German brand Henrys meets these requirements with this model.

If you hesitate between the old Circus Alu version and this new model, know that it will be more suitable for practicing with several diabolos. It will also be ideal for young diabolists because its smaller mass will be less tiring for small arms.

Characteristics of the Circus diabolo:

  • Diameter: ø130mm.
  • Height: 145mm.
  • Weight: 270g.
  • Axis: fixed.

You can modify the diabolo with the different Henrys sets marketed on our website.

What kind of use ?

High-end diabolo that can be used by beginners as well as experienced diabolists.
For beginner children, we recommend medium-sized diabolos.

NetJuggler tips:

If you are a beginner, NetJuggler advises you to take a reel of string with your order. Indeed, beginners with dry and jerky movements wear out the strings very quickly, in a few hours, where the same string can last a few weeks for an experienced diabolist. This may save you from having to pay shipping fees again when your string is worn out.

Informations on the manufacturer Henrys:

Henrys is a German brand which all professionals in the juggling world will recommend to you. Their material is known to be robust, it is designed for intensive use.

    A versatile diabolo?

Hello, I am the happy owner of 2 Vision Free ball bearing diabolos which are excellent for practicing more flexibly and for doing

Obviously, this model of diabolo is not made for practicing with 2 diabolos.

My only reference for a fixed diabolo is the Mister Babache, its drawback is the rigor with which it must be handled. Since it has a very small axle, the slightest false movement makes the diabolo go up.

    My question is:

Does this model have a large enough axle (larger than that of Mister Babache) to be able to use several diabolos and also to be able to do vertax and juggle more freely?

Between this model and the Hyperspin fixed axis, which one would you recommend?

    Circus - Circus Alu

Hello, I would like to know if there is a difference between the Circus diabolo and the Circus Alu other than the weight (for example if there is one that grips more, if there is a difference for making 2 diabolo or vertax...).

    THANKS

      Re: Circus - Circus Alu

The Circus aluminum has been discontinued for a long time now. It has been replaced by the Circus diabolo you see on this page. Aside from the weight, the shape of the center distances is also different. The Circus Aluminum was narrower and lacked the "small step" that exists on the center distances of the new Circus. The shape of the new Circus makes for a more versatile diabolo. Easier to use for grinds and slides. A wider spacing will make it easier to practice Vertax. And a lighter weight will allow for increased endurance when practicing with several diabolos at the same time, both in low and high.

      Re: 2 diabolos

This version of the Circus will be one of the best choices you can make for practicing with several diabolos. What is interesting about this version of the Circus is that it is lightweight and will therefore be less tiring to handle than other diabolos that exist with similar dimensions.

    Diabolo integral

    Good morning,

I would like to know what is the best diabolo for doing integral.

      Re: Diabolo integral

I'm guessing you're talking about full-body releases. In which case, I checked with professional diabolists this weekend to give you as comprehensive an answer as possible.

      Diabolos recommended for full releases

François Kum-Kum Perron and Sylvestre DEWA tend to recommend the diabolo on this page, namely the Circus diabolo in its light version. Antoine Boyer recommends the A-Dream diabolo from Epic Juggling . Finally, Adrien Levy recommends the Taibolo V2 diabolo .

A ball-bearing diabolo for full releases?

You will notice that all diabolos equipped with fixed axles are recommended. It is also possible to make integrals with a diabolo with bearings, but in general, who says integral, says mini genocide, and there frankly it quickly becomes difficult with a diabolo equipped with bearings (it goes too fast to catch the sticks after a while). It is possible to use any diabolo for a full release, but there will necessarily be an infinite release in the combos at some point, etc: therefore the use of a rather standard diabolo, light, without a wide axle, without bearings will tend to give the best performances...

    choice

Which diabolo would you recommend between a triple bearing diabolo and the circus diabolo, knowing that I do 1 diabolo and 2 diabolo and that I do all kinds of tricks. Please help me.

    16/07/2014
    • Answer
      Re: choice

The circus is used for both the 1 diabolo and the 2 diabolos, while the ball bearing diabolos are more useful for the 1 diabolo because you don't need to accelerate it to chain your figures and for the Vertax

    Title

    Good morning,

I'm asking for your help. I've been playing diabolo for a long time but I'm small and like diabolo that aren't too heavy. I don't know if I should get the Typhoon or the Circus. Please get back to me quickly so I can place this order with you as quickly as possible.

      Re: Title

The Circus and Typhoon diabolos are both excellent diabolos. Whichever you choose, you'll have a good piece of equipment in your hands. If you prefer a diabolo that's not too heavy, then I recommend the Typhoon, which is lighter than the Circus.

      Re: Title

Hello, I'm using the Circus at the moment and to be honest, I haven't felt much difference with a medium-sized diabolo. On the other hand, but I think all large diabolos are like this, the mass is much more evenly distributed. Which allows you to do more tricks. I don't know if I've really answered your question... :/ :)

    phospho loading

Should you charge a circus or other phosphorescent diabolo with sunlight while juggling outdoors or should you use artificial light? If so, which one?

    01/03/2014
    • Answer
      Re: phospho loading

Chances are you're familiar with the phosphorescent stars or sheep that are placed on the ceiling in children's bedrooms. The principle is the same. Using a natural or artificial light source, you recharge your equipment before plunging it into the dark to see it glow. The phosphorescent effect lasts a few minutes. If you recharge with a powerful or UV lamp, the effect can last much longer. I hope my answer was clear! Good luck and happy juggling! Used on stage, this type of equipment is generally continuously illuminated with UV light (black light, like in nightclubs, the light that makes teeth white ;-) ).

    performance

Is it more or less efficient than the aluminum circus?

    31/12/2013
    • Answer
      Re: performance

There is no Circus diabolo that is more efficient than another! On the other hand, this one is lighter, so it is more suitable for diabolists who are smaller! But also for experienced diabolists who want to practice with several diabolos. The fact that it is lighter means that it will be less tiring for your small arms :-)

    kit?

Is this the all-round kit that is installed on this diabolo?

    22/12/2013
    • Answer
      Re: kit?

This is a kit similar to the Allround kit, but not quite identical. The Allround kit takes 28 grams off the diabolo, and the latter weighs 30 grams less than the Circus Alu.

    a-dream or circus

For the stage, is the best the circus or the a-dream?

because I have total doubts :(

    20/12/2013
    • Answer
      Re: a-dream or circus

Both diabolos are excellent, so it's normal to have doubts. The Circus is perhaps a little less flashy than the A-Dream because it isn't shiny. But a shiny surface scratches more easily than the material used for the Circus. Both diabolos will excel for performing. So it's hard to go wrong, but it's possible that once you've had the opportunity to try both models, you'll have a preference for one of the two models.

and so if I take a light circus, I could do vertax?

      21/12/2013
    • Answer
      Re: a-dream or circus

Yes, you can do Vertax with a Circus Light. But it's worth noting that the most suitable diabolos for doing Vertax are the large diabolos equipped with ball bearings, such as the Circus Free or the Hurricane.

    2 diabolos

    Good morning,

I would like to buy new diabolos to learn to juggle with 2 but I hesitate between the vision and the circus. I would also like to buy a ball bearing to juggle with one of these two diabolos when I am not juggling with both. What do you recommend for the 2 diabolos and the bearing, circus or vision?

(Knowing that the rolling is just for trying, I don't know how to make Excalibur yet so I'm not sure it'll be very useful...)

    THANKS

    • Answer
      Re: 2 diabolos

I definitely recommend the Circus in its new, lightweight version. Since it's wider than the Vision, it'll be easier to realign. Regarding the bearing kit. It's excellent and will keep you entertained while you wait to get serious about Vertax (Excalibur). Happy juggling!
