Modular balance ball:

In traditional Chinese circus, the balls are sometimes weighted with sand to allow unicycling on the balance ball. The sand helps stabilize the ball and thus makes it much easier to use.

This model of balance ball can therefore be adapted according to the level of the practitioners. We will put a little sand to make the ball rolling, and on the contrary to stabilize the ball we will add sand in the ball.

The more weighted the ball, the safer and more stable it will be.

The structure is sturdy, with plastic thick enough to accommodate large people as well as to do acrobatic lifts. The location of the filling hole is positioned so as not to weaken the structure of the ball and it is molded.

The mold being new, the finish is clean on the junction in the center of the ball. The coating allows for greater comfort of use than with a shiny ball and a slight grip to facilitate use barefoot and in socks.

What is the use of this balance ball?

Use for initiation and discovery:

Interesting educational tool for schools and circus schools because this model is modular. For example, if you are giving a class to a group of beginners and you have few sessions, or little time to get the group through: weight the ball. This will stabilize it and make it less dangerous to use. This also means that you will no longer need to put a significant thickness of mattress under the ball, block it, etc. No need to travel to your classes with as much equipment as with a traditional ball.

Advanced usage:

Weighting the ball may be considered cheating by some. If you want to practice rigorously, just use less sand, or no sand at all, and then you can develop a rigorous technique.

Unicycle on balance ball:

With a high level of unicycling and significant ballast on the ball, it becomes possible to ride a unicycle on this ball while practicing "on the spot".

Advantage of weighting your ball:

By weighting the balance ball, it will roll less. Therefore on stage, this will have the effect of stopping the ball in motion, so that it does not roll off the stage.
