Considerations

• Fixed Ropes and Bar : The ropes and bar cannot be removed or replaced.
• Heavier bar : Compared to a trapeze that is set up with shackles, the bar is heavier, which can make movements on the ropes more difficult.
• Unpredictable Bounce : The slight elasticity of the strings can make the beats less predictable.
• Stiff Elbows : Less mobility and flexibility than a trapeze equipped with shackles.

Suspension methods: single or double points

Single point suspension

Also known as a dance trapeze , it is suspended from a single point at the top, creating a triangular shape with the ropes. It is important to use an anchor plate or delta link in this configuration to avoid incorrectly stressing a carabiner. You can also use a swivel in this configuration.

Double point suspension

The most common method for hanging a trapeze. This method keeps the two ropes separate and allows enough space for movements above the bar. If you have a freestanding structure , you can attach the supplied carabiners to a strap or loop and hook them around the top bar of the structure. If you only have one anchor point, the aerial spreader bar can help: simply attach your two carabiners to the holes provided on either side of the bar.

Certifications and security testing

All Firetoys aerial equipment is fully certified in the UK , with certificates available on request. Load tests are carried out regularly on all equipment at independent certified facilities. The Working Load Limit (WLL) is based on permanent deformation. It is essential that the manufacturer's stated WLL is never exceeded.

Using this trapeze assumes that you have a safe and suitable anchor point. If you have not already established a safe anchor point, please do so first with the assistance of a structural engineer, experienced rigger or professional familiar with what you are hanging and where you are hanging it.
