Pair of aluminum diabolo handsticks:

Pair of handsticks designed with durable and polished aluminum.

The handle is made of light rubber, perfectly balanced.

Remember that diabolo string wears out ! We sell it in reel on our website.

Netjuggler's opinion:

These handsticks are among the best available at this rate.
They are very pleasant to hold.

Technical characteristics of the aluminum handsticks:

  • Material: aluminum.
  • Length: 32,5cm.
  • Weight: 80 g.
  • Tie string: end of the stick.
  • Length of string: 1.6m.
  • String : diabolo string of the Proline brand.

What kind of use ?

These handsticks are ideal for beginners and for experienced jugglers. Perfect for making slide/grind tricks. You will see that the diabolos slide very well on the aluminum sticks.

When sliding/grinding, remember to lean your handstick in the direction of rotation of your diabolo. This will prevent the diabolo from escaping from your stick !

How to choose your handsticks ?

You can realize almost every trick regardless of which handstick you chose.

  • Beech wood handsticks are strong and powerful, they are widely used in schools and associations.
  • The aluminum handsticks are rigid and the beginners favorites because they are thin and therefore excellent to make slide / grind tricks that last very long. They are also widely used by diabolists who practice intensively.
  • Carbon handsticks are flexible diabolo handsticks. They are used to practice with several diabolos at the same time in order to better absorb the reception of the diabolos. They offer extra comfort compared to aluminum handsticks.
  • Fiberglass handsticks are very light. The lighter the handsticks, the more you can feel the diabolo on the string. On the same principle as the carbon handsticks, they are slightly flexible for more comfort.

Set the string of your diabolo:

To practice the diabolo, the length of the string is really important. The length depends on your size and also on your preferences. There's no standard length !

That being said, for children a total length of string is from the foot to the shoulder. For teenagers/adults, one can take a shorter length of string: from the foot to the armpit.
To find the length you prefer, do several tests and, as soon as it feels great, keep it that way !

Aluminum's solidity:

If you're throwing your handsticks in the air and and unto the ground, it is good to know that aluminum is a flexible metal that can be bent. If you want to violate your handsticks, NetJuggler recommends fiberglass or carbon handsticks.

    String that wears out quickly

    Good morning,

My son is wearing out the string on his diabolo because the aluminum sticks' ends are sharp from hitting the ground. Are there any rubber tips or other things to prevent this? Thank you for your reply.

Re: String that wears out quickly

On our website you will find all the information about the wear and tear of diabolo strings.

For a beginner who is going to practice with sudden and jerky movements, a string can wear out in half an hour / an hour, where the same string will wear out in several weeks for someone who practices at a higher level. Moreover, for a beginner the string will wear out at the ends of the string first. For someone who has experience the wear will be more uniform along the entire length of the string.

It's similar to string wear with yo-yos. There's a significant amount of friction that's accentuated in beginners, especially children.

You will find diabolo string in the diabolo section of our website.

      Re: Title

      Good morning,

Indeed, for beginners, the string tends to wear out very quickly, which is why we advise in the yellow insert under the article above: "Remember to expect that the diabolo string wears out!". Beginners tend to make jerky movements and wear out their string 10 times faster than someone who is used to practicing. In any case, the string remains a consumable that will need to be changed more or less often depending on the practice.

Practicing in a wide way will give more speed to the diabolo while wearing the string less.

Do not hesitate to contact us by email or telephone for further details or for after-sales service.

      Re: Title

Aluminum handsticks are among the most durable diabolo handsticks. If you do a lot of stick drops, I recommend the deos carbon handsticks, which will be more durable but also better suited to performing stick drops because they are better balanced for this type of trick.

I'm hesitating between the Henrys Circus diabolo and the Babache diabolo. Which one should I choose?

    14/09/2013
    • Answer
      Re: Title

The Circus diabolo in its aluminum version is a little heavier than the Finesse. If your goal is to practice with several diabolos, then I recommend the Finesse or the Circus in its lightweight version. For practicing with several diabolos, you also have the Typhoon, which is also an excellent diabolo for practicing with one diabolo.

    which one to take

Hello, I would like to know which rod to choose between the Geko aluminum rods.

or the aluminum henrys with a cyclone diabolo please answer me as soon as possible

    quickly=)

    Sincerely

    • Answer
      Re: which one to take

Both are excellent. The Geko version is made of silicone, and it fits very well in the hand. It grips really well. The aluminum sticks have foam handles, which are less comfortable than silicone, but have the advantage of absorbing perspiration, which can be important if your hands sweat a lot! Happy juggling.

Hello, I'm torn between these sticks and the Henrys aluminum sticks. Which ones wear out the string the least?

      Re: string

All sticks wear out the diabolo string. Practicing extensively will give your diabolo more speed while wearing out your string less! I recommend buying a roll of string when you buy your diabolo.

    Either one

    Good morning,

I would like to get a diabolo and sticks.

Should I choose aluminum or carbon or other rods?

    Thank you for answering me.

    14/03/2012
    • Answer
      Re: One or the other

It depends on what you want to do. Aluminum sticks are ideal for grinding because they are thin and stiff. If you want something lighter and more flexible, then carbon will be better for you. Between carbon and aluminum, there is not necessarily one model that is better than the other; they are two different comfort levels. Aluminum will be more responsive than carbon, which provides a certain flexibility.
