These handsticks are sold by the pair and already equipped with a length of string.

Energy diabolo handsticks, by Mister Babache:

These handsticks are flexible, which makes it easier to accelerate the diabolo.

The pink, yellow, and green handsticks are reactive to black light (UV).
The black ones are not.
The phosphorescent version is entirely, unlike the other models which only have the central transparent part that is reactive.

Remember that the diabolo string wears out! We sell it in reel on our website. The string wears out particularly quickly with beginners who tend to have jerky movements compared to more experienced diabolists who will generally practice more smoothly. These handsticks are sold in pairs and already equipped with a length of beginner string.

NetJuggler's opinion:

They are thinner than wooden handsticks and also smoother, which makes them more interesting for making slides (grinds). However, other smooth handsticks on our website will be thinner and more suitable for this practice.

Spare parts:

We sell the various spare parts that make up these handsticks. Ideal for changing the colours of your pair or also to change them when they show signs of wear.

Technical characteristics:

  • Length: 350mm.
  • Weight: 102 g.
  • Tie of the string: screw end at the end of the handstick.
  • String length: 1.60 m.
  • Handsticks body: flexible and translucent.
  • Mister Babache string: special for diabolo.
  • Manufacturer: Mister Babache.

What kind of use?

These handsticks are ideal for beginners and experienced diabolists.

Choose your handsticks:

Whatever your choice of handsticks, you can do almost any trick.

  • The beech wood handsticks are solid and efficient, they are widely used in schools and associations.
  • Aluminum handsticks are rigid handsticks, the favorites of beginners because they are thin and therefore excellent for making slides / grinds that will last a very long time. They are also used a lot by diabolists who practice intensively.
  • Carbon handsticks are flexible diabolo handsticks. They are used to practice with several diabolos at the same time, in order to better cushion the reception of the diabolos. They offer additional comfort compared to aluminum ones.
  • Fiberglass handsticks are very light. The lighter the handsticks, the more you can feel the diabolo on the string. On the same principle as carbon handsticks, they are slightly flexible, for more comfort.

Adjust the string of your diabolo:

To pactice the diabolo, an important point is the length of the string. The length depends on your height and also your preferences, there is no typical length!

That being said, for children we generally put a total length of string that goes from the foot to the shoulder. For teens / adults, we put a slightly shorter length, going from the foot to the armpit.
To find the length you prefer, try several times and, as soon as it feels good, keep it that way!

Wear on the tips of the chopsticks

    Good morning,

My son has some very nice Henrys aluminum chopsticks. But he often bangs the tips of his chopsticks on the floor and the aluminum gets damaged, which then cuts the wire. Are there any aluminum models with a removable tip that could be replaced if necessary?

Re: Wear on the tips of the chopsticks

On this model of Energy sticks the tips can be changed. You will find the same system on the X-Trem diabolo sticks .

    Flexibility

Hello, I would like to know if these rods are more or less flexible than fiberglass ones and I also wanted to know if they are suitable for more experienced users. Thank you in advance.

      Re: Flexibility

Mister Babache's Energy diabolo sticks are more flexible than fiberglass sticks.

Most diabolists use rigid sticks because this allows the commands given to the diabolo to go directly to the diabolo. Thus, the most used sticks are aluminum diabolo sticks . A little flexibility can be interesting when practicing with several diabolos. In this case, the short version of Henrys carbon sticks will be excellent (the longer version will be even more flexible, it is above all a question of taste).

Which baguette do you think is better: Babache Energy Baguette or Babache Carbon Baguette?

    Thanks in advance!!!!!!!! :D

      D: :)

Aluminum diabolo handsticks are certainly the most interesting handsticks for trying out all types of diabolo tricks.

They are excellent for practicing with one or more diabolos. Experienced diabolists tend to look for sticks that respond well to stick releases. For these types of tricks, you'll notice that the majority of experienced diabolists you see on videos use the Deos Carbone diabolo sticks made by Play.

Energy sticks aren't widely used by experienced diabolists. Mister Babache's carbon sticks are flexible and can be useful for practicing with multiple diabolos because they cushion the diabolos when they're landed. However, while providing this comfort, they also allow for a less responsive feel. This is why many diabolists use rigid sticks.

Can we charge them in the sun or just with lamps?

    18/07/2014
    • Answer
      Re: phospho

The phosphor version can be recharged in the sun or by lamplight, but the duration during which the wand will emit light is reduced, so it is better to recharge them with a lamp and for better results, you can also recharge them with black light (UV).

Please note that only the phosphorescent version emits light.

Honestly, if you're just starting out, there really aren't any bad choices. Whichever model you choose, you'll get good results for learning.

The first choice for beginners and professionals alike tends to be standard aluminum diabolo handsticks . You can find these on our website.

These chopsticks are a good choice. They are comfortable and of good quality.

You also have aluminum diabolo sticks which are often the number 1 choice for diabolo players (beginners and experienced players).

      Re: [ENERGY]baguette

Carbon rods are generally much lighter than aluminum rods and are often slightly flexible, which increases their comfort. Aluminum rods, on the other hand, allow for a more responsive feel. It's a matter of taste.

It depends on how you're going to use it. If you drop the sticks a lot, the aluminum will bend over time, while fiberglass will be much more robust.

They go well with all diabolos. They are flexible and comfortable to hold. It's a matter of taste. If you're looking for something rigid, opt for aluminum diabolo handsticks instead.

I saw in a photo some phosphorescent energy sticks with phosphorescent strings. Do you sell them with phosphorescent string or with normal string? Thanks in advance!

    • Answer
      [ENERGY]Re: [ENERGY]ficelle

These are normal strings that react to UV light but are not phosphorescent. We do not sell phosphorescent string. Phosphorescent string does not give an impressive effect... You can hardly see it in the dark...

These are indeed good beginner chopsticks.

Otherwise, you also have aluminum sticks, which are great for getting started. It's hard to make a mistake in your choice of sticks because they all work for beginners. The comfort of use varies from one model to another, and this will be important once you become an experienced diabolist.

    what is fiberglass or aluminum

    thanks in advance

    07/02/2010
    • Answer
      [D27NRJ]Re: [D27NRJ]re

The main difference that will be felt when practicing is that aluminum is a rigid material. So when you give an order to your diabolo, it will go directly to the diabolo. Fiberglass sticks are flexible, which will soften the practice, this is especially interesting if you intend to practice with several diabolos at the same time.
