Fire kit for Finesse diabolo
Kit sold complete to equip a diabolo. Be careful however it is not compatible with all diabolos. Read the description for more information.
If you buy this kit, please take 5 minutes to read the instructions for use :-), otherwise you will have unpleasant surprises when using the kit.
This diabolo fire kit fits the Finesse diabolo from the manufacturer Mister Babache. However, it does not fit any other diabolo model. We have another diabolo fire kit compatible with other models to discover here: Diabolo fire kit .
The kit consists of several elements: a high-density aluminum part and silicone cups. The aluminum acts as a thermal insulator between the fire part and the diabolo. The silicone cups are positioned on the aluminum structure to insulate the diabolo shells from the flames.
Kevlar soaks up dearomatized petroleum. It acts as a wick.
Only part of the Kevlar emerges from the diabolo kit, the "hidden part" has a role as a fuel tank, which allows for a good ignition duration.
NetJuggler's opinion on the fire kit:
The flames produced by this fire kit are not huge, but this system is ingenious in the sense that it allows you to make fire with a high-end diabolo like the Finesse. It is not necessary to use a special Kevlar string because the axis of the diabolo does not heat up with this system. This allows you to have significant control over the diabolo with a real diabolo string .

Instructions for use:
The manufacturer's after-sales service is almost non-existent on this kit except in the event of a manufacturing defect on a part making up the kit. It does not intervene in the event of burning of the silicone parts or in the event of melting of your diabolo. We are on finicky equipment which requires applying these few instructions to the letter. If these instructions for use are not followed, you will damage the silicone washer, or worse, your diabolo.
- Use the provided syringe to soak the Kevlar.
- If you spill fuel on the silicone washer, wipe it off thoroughly before igniting.
- Use a fuel that burns at a low temperature such as Kerdane (dearomatized petroleum). More expensive versions are generally more refined and will be more suitable for use with this fire kit.
- Do not use White Spirit or any other alcohol-based fuel! Only Kerdane (trade name) or de-aromatized petroleum will allow you to have a flame cold enough not to damage the silicone and not to damage the diabolo.
- Before lighting, make sure to wring out the wicks so that there is no excess fuel. Otherwise, you will have flames that are too big at the start of the ignition, this could affect the life of your diabolo by melting its shells. To wring out, turn the diabolo to remove excess fuel.
- While practicing, always keep the diabolo moving, never stop. Stopping will cause the temperature to rise too high, which could damage your diabolo and the silicone protections. If the diabolo falls with a wick towards the ground, the flames will rise along the shells and melt them on the outside. You must take care to intervene quickly if the diabolo falls in this position.
- Remember to let the diabolo cool before "re-soaking" it for a second use, otherwise you run the risk of the diabolo shells melting.
- If you don't follow these instructions, we've got you covered, you can find silicone washers on our site! And if you've melted your diabolo shells because you didn't follow the wringing instructions before lighting your diabolo, you'll find the diabolo shells on our site!
