Flexible stick for spinning plate
Item sold individually (i.e., you receive a complete stick with its tips).
Stick for spinning plate:
Plastic stick with tips, ready to be used. Ideal for using with the flexible plates of the Play Juggling brand as well as our NetJuggler brand plates.
Why use a flexible PVC stick?
On our website, we sell wooden sticks for spinning plates and we also sell this model in PVC. This model is slightly more flexible than wood, which will make it easier to practice than with a wooden stick. This imposes less rigor in the learning of the discipline. The practitioners will be successful more quickly with this stick than with the wooden one.
Informations for teachers:
If you have a group of students that you see over multiple classes and have time to dig a little deeper into the spinning plate discipline, then wooden sticks will provide more rigorous learning and allow your students to better understand the technique by imposing a correct gesture. If, on the contrary, you have short sessions with the students with the obligation to show them / teach them as much as possible with a limited time, then the PVC sticks will help you to put your students in a situation of success more quickly. Some teachers swear by wooden sticks. They are right in a sense, but we should add that it depends on the context in which you teach. And then of course it's also a question of habit :-).
NetJuggler's opinion on the PVC sticks:
The fact that this model is in two parts may scare you because you are used to the low-end sticks that we find at our friends who sell sports equipment for communities or in toy stores. Here, we have a quality stick with sturdy tips and a junction between the sticks that is done right.
If you take several sticks, you have the possibility of connecting them to make a giant stick, or you can put a tip at each end of your stick, to catch the plate on either side of the stick.
Video about spinning plates
This video presents one of our spinning plates and will teach you how to use a spinning plate but it also demonstrates and explains the difference between a plastic stick and a wooden stick. You can skip the begining of the video to about 30 seconds to get that explained to you if you wish.
