Good morning, Thank you for your question. This carbon tube is designed for use with Tri Ying or "Original" discs from the manufacturer Flowbonacci . As such, it is highly recommended to use this staff with both discs and Spinal Hubs for optimal use and to extend the life of the staff. Without these discs, the staff will be more vulnerable to wear because the carbon structure is less protected. Discs play a crucial role in absorbing shocks and protecting the staff as a whole. Using the tube without these protective elements can therefore lead to premature wear. As for using the carbon tube as a contact staff without additional equipment, this is possible but not recommended for the reasons mentioned above but also because the structure alone is too light for contact practice, heavier structures are generally preferred for contact. The tips , like the discs, not only provide protection but also optimal balance for juggling movements. The Goat Grip provides a perfect grip for spinning the stick on itself and against the body, providing a pleasant and precise juggling experience. However, without the discs, handling the staff could be less fluid and less secure.
