Gora removable aluminum contact fire staff

Staff sold individually , equipped with Kevlar wicks . Flowers are not included.
Staff Contact removable fire:
Staff signed Gora designed to be disassembled in order to be easily transportable. Bring this staff everywhere with you in your travels easily, in your luggage .
This Gora staff is a model that turns and rolls smoothly compared to a normal staff. Its mass drives it into rotation and will allow you to be fluid in your movements. Its internal structure is made of 7075 aluminum, this aluminum is rigid and does not twist easily while being light .
The ends of the stick are made of turned steel, which gives it good inertia when rotating.
Comfort is ensured by its extruded EPDM rubber grip.
How the removable system works
This video shows another staff, but the removable system is identical, I explain in the video how the joint system works which allows the staff to be easily assembled and disassembled.
Technical characteristics:
- Stick length: 130cm.
- Length of wicks: 2x10cm.
- Total length: 1m50.
- Structure: 7075 aluminum.
- Weight: 930g.
- Grip: 91cm extruded EPDM rubber.
- Tube diameter: approximately 28mm with grip.
- Diameter of the wicks: 5cm.
- Disassembles into 3 parts.
- Sold without flowers. The flowers sold as an option can be removed or moved along the staff
The flowers (sold as an option but shown in the photos) can be removed using snaps, which allows you to play on the rotation of your staff. It will have more inertia if you detach the flowers.
For what type of practice?
The fire contact staff is aimed at an adult professional audience wishing to practice with rather slow and precise movements. This type of staff is heavier which allows it to be maneuverable.
Tips for using fire staff:
Gora gives some usage tips to increase the lifespan of your staff. Professionals are used to this kind of advice, but we can never repeat it enough...
When soaking your wicks, soak them 3/4 full, this will give the kevlar time to absorb all the fuel and prevent it from leaking and dripping onto the silicone. It is important to know that the silicone that makes up the staff grip is heat resistant but not flame resistant. Also, be careful not to let any fuel drip onto the staff grip, this could encourage flames to spread onto the silicone grip and cause deformation or premature wear of your grip.
- Never use fuel such as White Spirit, Benzene or other alcohol-based fuel. Prefer the use of dearomatized petroleum which produces a very yellow flame called "cold". If you have a blue or transparent flame, this means that you are not using the right fuel, do not insist and check your fuel.
- Do not hold the staff in a static vertical position, always keep it moving or in a horizontal position so that the flames do not damage the structure or elements of your staff such as its grip for example.
- Handle the grip with care to ensure a long life.
🔥 Maintenance Tips – Fire Equipment 🔥
To extend the life of your fire staff (and any other equipment with silicone parts), follow these recommendations:
🚫 Avoid completely submerging the equipment in the fuel , this can damage the silicone.
🌬️ Do not store your equipment in an airtight bag or box. Fuel residue may diffuse into the silicone and deteriorate it.
✅ Prefer storage in a well-ventilated bag , such as those designed for this purpose (e.g.: Gora bags).
⚠️ Do not leave your equipment soaked in fuel after use. A single prolonged exposure can be enough to damage the silicone.
By following these tips, you will preserve the quality and performance of your equipment for longer. 🔥

Good morning
Is there a way to change the coiled strands to braided strands on this Gora model?
THANKS
Hello! 😊 Unfortunately, it is not possible to purchase it with braided wicks on our website. However, if you have the expertise, you can replace the wound wicks with braided wicks on the Gora brand's removable aluminum fire contact staff model. If you need any spare parts or additional information, please let me know. I will be happy to help you further! 🤹♂️
OK,
Hello, I bought this removable staff and it opens very often during manipulations? Is this normal and how can I fix it? I'm not sure anymore, but it seems to me that there was a ball inside?
You just need to tighten the ends of the staff. If you don't tighten the staff, the ends will simply come loose, which is potentially dangerous when using the staff. The problem is very simple to solve :-)
Hello, what is the length in cm per head of this staff? (How many meters should I buy to remake the staff?) Thank you.
There is approximately 50cm of wick on each head. With a meter of 100mm Kevlar, you will have enough to remake this staff identically.
When will we have a GORA removable contact training staff? For long trips where we don't plan on making a fire but we still miss our little staff.
I don't see why you can't train with this staff... If it's to avoid damaging the wicks, you can easily replace them with something else. (like denim strips^^)
