Spinning plate, it's all about balance:
The trick is to have flexible wrists. The spinning plate, is a circus technique that is very appreciated by all. It requires good motor skills and a certain awareness of the body pattern.
The shape of the plate is such that it can hold fairly easily in balance at the top of the stick. The basic movement consists of spinning the plate at the end of the stick in balance on its center. This model of the German manufacturer Henrys is equipped with two edges (tiers), which gives it two levels of difficulty depending on whether the person who practice is a beginner or an experienced user. This specificity also makes it possible to execute a few tricks.
NetJuggler tips:
Start gently then speed up gradually by drawing circles in the air with the tip of the stick. The movement comes from the wrist. When the plate turns fast enough and stabilizes horizontally, block the movement and it stabilizes its rotation.
This is when you can try several tricks: throw the plate and catch it on the stick. Transfer the plate from your stick to your hand or onto your neighbor's finger!
