Hook tube - Play
Item sold individually, without the accessories necessary for attachment and the aerial fabric is sold separately in the category of aerial circus equipment .
Aerial fabric information:
The French Federation of Circus Schools recommends changing your aerial fabric every 3 years and gives a maximum duration of use of 300 hours.
Fabric bell (without accessories):
The unique design of the CIRCUS DIVISION line fabric bell features a silicone coated stainless steel core with no welding or exposed metal parts. The silicone coating has a thickness of 1 cm (the total weight of the hook is 630 g). In addition to protecting your fabric, silicone also protects the steel core from any shock that may occur during use and/or transport of the equipment.
To fix your fabric in the air, a round structure serving as a support (tubular here) is essential. We use this round-shaped section so as not to impose any angle constraints. Indeed with the tension if you fix your fabric on a structure which does not have this shape the fabric could suffer premature wear up to breakage.
The use of the bell is essential.
How to tie a capstan knot?
With the fabric bell, make a capstan knot to preserve your fabric. This makes it possible to avoid creating strangulation constraints which could break the frame.
In the photo below you can see a sewn ring and a carabiner which are not supplied with this item. If you want to buy a complete kit, we offer a complete fabric bell .
- 1- Twist the fabric on itself in the central part, where you can find the product label, to make it thinner and easier to handle.
- 2- Create a loop of approx. 10 cm in diameter.
- 3- Create a second loop of equal size to the right or left of the first loop. It is important that the 2 loops are made as shown in the picture.
- 4- Superimpose the second loop (the one on the left) on the first loop. The capstan knot is completed.
- 5- Slide the hook inside the knot. In this phase, the fabric is still quite bulky.
- 6- Pull the ends and adjust the knot so that it becomes thinner and well positioned between the two silicone edges.
- 7- Attach the 2 ends of the anchor loop to the carabiner (not supplied).
- Once assembled, with your weight on the fabric, the knot will become thinner and automatically orient itself into the correct position.
This bell optimizes the lifespan of the fabric.
Safety of the fabric bell:
The bell is certified for a maximum working load of approximately 150 kg (150 dN), with a safety factor of 10:1, meaning that the steel core can be subjected to a load of approx. 1500kg. Whereas the elasticity of the silicone coating cushions the effect of the load and the entire system is rigged using a nylon anchor loop certified to support up to 4500 kg (45 kn) , here we have the strongest and safest fabric bell on the market today.
