Mister Babache Arlequin Medium Diabolo: Ideal for Figures and Grinds
This rubber diabolo is rather heavy for its size , which gives it excellent inertia . It will therefore keep its rotation speed for longer once launched, which is ideal for chaining complex figures and improving your diabolo practice .
Thanks to its fixed steel axle , this diabolo is one of the best medium-sized diabolos for performing slides (grinds) and other technical figures . Children and beginners will appreciate the original and bright colors of this diabolo.
To date, there are diabolos that offer a longer rotation time than this model. These are the diabolos equipped with ball bearings , which are now the most used by children and have quickly become their favorites for practicing diabolo.
NetJuggler's review: Diabolo Arlequin Medium
NetJuggler recommends this diabolo for children from 6/7 years old . They love bright colors , and if you really want to please them, combine your purchase with a pair of aluminum diabolo sticks . This will be the best, because the slides and grinds that beginners frequently perform will be made easier with the use of these light and handy sticks.
This diabolo is ideal for a beginner , but has some limitations for someone who really wants to progress and do more advanced tricks . If you are buying for a child who wants to have an evolving diabolo , opt instead for a large diabolo and choose a model that is as light as possible so as not to take a diabolo that could be too heavy for a child. The Vision diabolo is an excellent choice, much more progressive than the Diabolo Arlequin Medium presented on this page.
Technical characteristics of the Diabolo Arlequin Medium by Mister Babache:
- Weight: 275g, providing excellent inertia for prolonged rotations.
- Height: 115mm, medium size ideal for beginner and intermediate diabolists.
- Diameter: 100mm, facilitating handling during figures.
- Axle: Fixed steel, perfect for slides (grinds) and technical figures.
- Material: Durable rubber shells, absorb shock during falls.
Recommended Use of the Diabolo Harlequin Medium: Diabolo Practice for Figures and Grinds
Versatile diabolo, ideal for performing technical tricks thanks to its weight offering excellent inertia . Suitable for all levels for fun and training, but to perform more advanced tricks opt for a larger diabolo or one equipped with bearings.
Tips for Using the Diabolo Arlequin Medium
To get the most out of your Diabolo Arlequin Medium , I recommend that you take a look at the tutorials section of our website accessible via the horizontal menu at the top of the site! To reduce wear on the string, think about making larger and less jerky movements. Don't hesitate to practice regularly to improve your technique and try new tricks. Ask around, it's a safe bet that there's a circus school nearby!
NetJuggler Tips: Tips for Getting Started with the Diabolo Arlequin Medium
If you are a beginner , NetJuggler advises you to take a spool of diabolo string with your order. Indeed, beginners with jerky and jerky movements wear out the strings very quickly, in a few hours, where the same string can last a few weeks for an experienced diabolo player. This will save you from spending shipping costs again when your string is worn out.
How do you spin the diabolo like a pro?
Is it suitable for juggling with several diabolos?
The medium harlequin diabolo is not suitable for practicing with several diabolos at the same time. It is medium-sized and therefore less well-balanced and less easy to realign! You should instead opt for a large fixed-axle diabolo.
Hello, I have this model and I have worn it out, it is cracked or almost jagged but no pieces are missing, just small marks like old plastic left in the sun for a long time (from falling) and my chopstick throws are a little soft after 2 turns or often disappointing.
NEVERTHELESS IT IS A VERY GOOD AND BEAUTIFUL DIABOLO, GREAT FOR FIRST STEPS!
I play on concrete and the stripes add a nice little effect.
But I would like to move to a bearing one so that they are heavier, larger, faster and more responsive so the sticks would spin well around them but not too much either because I am not a professional.
So I'm asking for advice on the model and color or a treatment that would make the scratches less visible.
Thank you very much. Good luck to our wonderful staff!
You'll find many diabolos equipped with ball bearings on our site. If you want scratches to have the least possible impact on your diabolo, I recommend opting for a diabolo from the Henrys brand. In the medium size you'll have the Jazz Free diabolo and in the large size version the Circus Free diabolo . These are the two models that scratch the least.
Certainly, but apart from 60 grams more, it doesn't change too much from the Harlequin and the Circus and too much, isn't there an intermediate between these two models while remaining at Henry's?
Yes, indeed, Henrys does offer the Vision Free. It features the same rolling system as the Circus Free. Its shells are slightly translucent (except for the black and white versions).
So, let's head into the future with a vision! This is the one I'm leaning towards, I hope it's sturdy! Otherwise, black = barely visible stripes?
The scratches will be barely visible regardless of your choice of color on Henrys diabolos. On lighter colors, the scratches are also barely visible, however if they get dirty, the dirt gets into the micro scratches which accentuates them! But if you need your diabolo to remain perfect for stage use for example, professionals generally have their equipment in duplicate: 1 version for training and one version for stage use.
Yo! Vision ordered for September! But my babache is cracked after 4 or 5 years of use, what dome could I put in its place? (Heavier if possible between 300 and 350g)
?
Good morning,
Unfortunately it is not possible to buy only diabolo cups for this model.
Sorry :-).
Good luck juggling and good luck!
Thanks for the replies, otherwise do you have any ideas for recycling my diabolo into something nice? :(
Good morning,
If you can't use it at all anymore, you can possibly make a pocket emptier out of it, or make a lampshade for a bedside lamp! :)
Sincerely,
Staying with Henrys, there's the Vision Free diabolo. It's rather large and not too heavy. It's a fairly versatile diabolo for beginners.
I have a three-bearing diabolo, but I can't do the lift, so I'd like a new diabolo. My diabolo weighs 222 grams, which one would you recommend?
The bigger the diabolo you choose, the better its inertia will be and the more tricks you will be able to do. If you are 8 years old or older, then you could opt for the Vision diabolo for example. If your ambition is to then practice with several diabolos, then you could go for the Circus diabolo or even the Typhoon diabolo, the A-Dream or the Taibolo V2. If you would like more advice, you can also contact us by phone and ask us your questions in person :-)
no no no no, nin
Hello, my name is Florent and I would like to know if it is suitable for juggling with several diabolos.
When juggling multiple diabolos, it's best to use larger diabolos that are easier to realign. I recommend a lightweight Circus, an A-Dream, or a Taibolo V2, which are the best diabolos for practicing with multiple diabolos.
I would like to know if you supply the string and stick with the diabolo or do you have to buy them separately?
Wands are sold separately!
My little sister is five years old and is starting to play diabolo. I would like to know if this diabolo is good for her.
For children aged 5/6, NetJuggler recommends choosing a slightly lighter diabolo, such as the Jester diabolo or the Comet diabolo , which are two very good medium-sized diabolos.
This is a very good choice... Although it can be a little heavy. You can opt for the Astro diabolo or the Comet, which will be a little lighter.
I'm looking for a new diabolo because the medium harlequin one I had is broken.
I have been practicing for 2 years.
Can you advise me?
THANKS
Good morning,
My son is 7 years old and started playing diabolo with a hard plastic game.
but since he seems to be applying himself, I would like to offer him a suitable one that corresponds to his age.
Could you advise me and confirm that you deliver to Belgium?
Thanks in advance
We do deliver to Belgium! For a quality first diabolo, this Arlequin Medium model will be perfect in soft plastic, with colorful patterns, it's the ideal model. The larger and heavier the diabolo, the easier it will be to use. You just have to be careful not to take too heavy depending on the size of the person practicing. If your son is 7 years old, this model will be perfect!
To learn how to practice, don't hesitate to consult our video courses at: www.netjuggler.net/apprendre/ Happy juggling!
Hello, I am looking for a store where I could buy a diabolo, in the Charleroi region, for my 8-year-old son.

Well! Order on our website and we'll deliver!

We deliver everywhere in mainland France!
OK but I would also like to know if I can do good tricks but what are some good heavy diabolos that are not very expensive?
heavy, not very expensive and which will allow you to do a lot of things: the Proton which you will find in the category of large diabolos. If you have the possibility to put a little more the two diabolos most used by the pros and by the high level diabolists are the Finesses and the Circus.
Excuse me, but I would like some advice because before I had a beginner's diabolo and I'm looking for a fairly heavy one and I would like to take the Harlequin diabolo from Mister Babache. What do you think?
I recommend: Mister Babache's Finesse, Henrys' Circus, or the Proton. All three are good diabolos to get you started. The Harlequin is pretty but a bit too heavy in my opinion if you plan on practicing a lot... it might tire you out...
Is this model suitable for learning to play two diabolos?
Sorry for the repetition ;(
It is possible to play two diabolos with this model if you already have a good level with two diabolos! But it will not be very pleasant to handle and it will not be easy. If you are starting with 2 diabolos, we advise you to opt for the Finesse, the Circus or even the Proton diabolo. Because being wider diabolos, they will allow you to re-align your diabolos more easily (this is the biggest difficulty when practicing with 2 diabolos.
Is this model suitable for learning to play two diabolos?
For two diabolos it is better to opt for a larger model like the Finesse or the Circus.
Hi team, I love your site, there are lots of great things for juggling.
I just ordered my 4th item from you and I'm still super happy except that the mini diabolo has some scratches on the outside but I understand you: it's very hard to model such small things.
Well, keep working as you do and you will satisfy everyone.
There can sometimes be a tiny burr on a cheap diabolo. But it's never a problem because when you use the diabolo it usually disappears. If you want a perfect diabolo, choose a Henrys diabolo! What a demanding finish ;-)
Finally I take white and red
Hello, I would like to know which color to choose between:
white and red
black and white
white and blue
thanks in advance
Funny question! You're the one who makes you happy! Choose the color combination you like best!
Hello, I would like to know if with this diabolo my little brother of 10 years old could do a multitude of diabolo tricks (slides, Eiffel Tower...) and if so what size would you recommend??? How long should the string be for a perfect result?? Thanks in advance!!!
This model is ideal for doing tricks like the ones you mentioned. This size is very good. If you see that he really likes the diabolo, you have the Vision which is better and will allow him to go a little further as well as the Finesse. The Circus and the Proton are also two excellent models. For the string, we generally use a total length for children that goes from the foot to the shoulder. Adults generally use a slightly shorter length going from the foot to the underarm ;-).
Is it good to do the ne
the knots... I guess? I don't know why you all want to make records for the number of knots... But hey, why not! So you can make 1 to 2 knots with most diabolos. To make the second knot, the diabolo must not spin too fast otherwise it will get tangled in the string. The diabolo that allows you to make a crazy number of knots is the Sundia Fly ball bearing diabolo because its axle is wide and also mounted on ball bearings which limits the friction likely to slow the diabolo down or cause it to get tangled.
and for a knot like (for acceleration) when it turns very quickly are there knots
A knot... I guess? It depends on the string you use too. Thick or worn string will make more knots than thinner string. If you want to avoid knots, I recommend using Henrys Pro string in fluorescent colors: yellow, orange, or green.
Is it good for slides and does it keep the speed well??^^
It's not bad for making slides... But the best results for slides will be obtained with the Finesse diabolo combined with the wide axle kit or even with the Sundia Fly diabolo which is equipped by default with a wide axle mounted on bearings... Be careful however for outdoor use the Sundia Fly diabolo scratches rather easily...
Is it good for slides and does it keep the speed well??^^
Is it really necessary to have serious answers because I ordered it for Christmas and I'm afraid that it's useless?? How can I order it if it doesn't work please thank you in advance
Can you elaborate and write a question? And I'll follow up! Without a question, it's not easy ;-)
My son is 10 years old and would like a harlequin diabolo. Should I get a medium or a size up?
THANKS
I recommend the medium size. The large size is a bit heavy for a 10-year-old. If you want a large diabolo for a 10-year-old, we recommend the Finesse by Mister Babache, otherwise you also have: The Vision, the Tornado and the Quasar which are excellent for a 10-year-old.
I received it 3 days later, it's GREAT!!!!!!
Is this diabolo good for beginners?
This diabolo is ideal for beginners, much better than the Millennium for example...
What is the actual weight of the Harlequin Medium Pleaze Diabolo?
200 gr
but it's huge, the diabolos I buy from Toy Club weigh 100g, but these (the harlequins) must be much more efficient.
Why do you say it weighs 250g? It says 200g on the weight. What is the real weight?
200g
looking for a Diabolo store in Belgium
We ship to Belgium. We offer a flat-rate delivery of €12 for any order. Happy juggling.
Hello, I would like to buy a harlequin diabolo, but I need to know how much the shipping costs are so I can ask my parents. For me, I'll buy one.
Thank you in advance
Shipping costs to mainland France are €5 (a flat rate). Shipping to Belgium is €12.
It seems to me that the weight is 200g and not 250g ;)
There was indeed an error on our website. The Medium Harlequin does indeed weigh 200g. Thanks for pointing that out.
Hello, I just wanted to ask how much the shipping costs are to Belgium. Thank you in advance.

Thank you very much, it is super good and I will always trust you. Thank you, thank you from Améline Masson.
I received my diabolo in a very short time, I am very happy, thank you!
Is it possible to install a wide axle kit on it or is there a special kit for this diabolo?
Wide axle kits do not work with this model of diabolo.
I play diabolo and I find it great for learning and it's cool too
I would like to know how long it takes to be delivered and if the strings are sold with the aluminum rods.
From the moment we have the colors you want, we generally deliver within 48 to 72 hours... It can be a little longer if we do not have the colors you want in stock.
I tried this diabolo not long ago and I love it.
Yes, it's true.
I ordered it and received it 3 days later and I am very happy with it.
Is it heavy and easy to handle?
The Arlequin Medium Diabolo is rather heavy compared to other diabolos of equivalent size since it weighs 250g. This significant weight is explained by the size of the axle which is wider than on most diabolos of the same size. This significant weight makes it easier to accelerate the diabolo and therefore easier to handle. We highly recommend this model for beginners. By the way, we do not recommend all small diabolos for beginners, as small diabolos are much more difficult to handle. Good devil!
