Phosphorescent poi

This item is sold in pairs . So you have a complete kit, ready to use .
Pair of phospho bolas:
These bolas are assembled with hollow phosphorescent balls. The balls are made by Play , an Italian manufacturer recognized for the quality of its material.

This article allows you to maintain an interesting visual appearance at night other than with fire (for example indoors or in areas with high fire risks). It's also a good way to discover the bolas before venturing towards the chains of fire. They are designed around a cord adjustable in length. The cord allows for fluid movements.
NetJuggler's opinion on phosphorescent bolas:
The phosphorescent balls of these bolas are relatively flexible, which prevents you from getting hurt too much during difficult landings! Very good quality bolas for a nice nighttime effect provided you have a good lamp available to recharge them. Allows you to have up to 5/10 minutes of brightness. Using a powerful lamp such as a car headlight will give a better effect. Another good way to charge them is to use black light. If you are looking for truly spectacular visual effects, we advise you to opt for luminous bolas instead.

Characteristics of phosphorescent bolas:
- Ball diameter: 70mm.
- Handle type: tubular nylon.
- Adjustable cord length.
- Mass of a ball: 100 grams.
- Ball type: glow in the dark stage balls.
- Handles mounted on swivels equipped with ball bearings.
- Weight of a poi: 120g.
- Weight of the pair: 240g.
- Handle length: 15cm.
- Chain length: 60cm.
- Total length: 85cm.
What length for my poi?
The lengths in the description are given for information purposes only; manufacturers may change the length without notifying us.
Generally, bolas are sold with chains that are too long but they can be shortened. To do this, cut the chain to the desired length and move the ring where you want it.
There is no standard length, everyone has their own preferences. That said, if you are a beginner, if you put the handles in your hands, ideally the bolas head should reach under your armpit.
How to use the bola handles?

We made a super simple little video to show you how to hold this type of handle. The structure of these is tubular for more comfort. If the nylon was not shaped like this it would cut your fingers during prolonged use or give you blisters!
For what type of practice?
These bolas are ideal for those who practice this discipline and who wish to have a nighttime visual effect. We particularly recommend them as a step before moving on to fire bolas since the comfort and sensation of use is similar to that with fire bolas.

Good morning
Are the bolas really luminous?
THANKS
Phosphorescents will not emit light like LED systems do. There is no LED system inside these bolas. The PVC contains a dye that contains phosphorescent pigments. These pigments recharge in daylight or using a lamp to release their stored energy for a short period of a few minutes.
The operation and brightness of this equipment is quite comparable to that of the stars that are placed on the ceiling in children's bedrooms.
Good morning,
My question is: are they washable and how? Some friends gave them to me and, seeing that they are starting to get dirty, I would like to know if cleaning them with a damp cloth does not generate the phospho...
To clean them, a damp cloth will do the trick. Be careful, however, if there are any ink marks, they will not come off. All balls with a PVC coating like these ones are easily stained with ink. We recommend storing your bolas after each use in a small bag or a large sock if you don't want them to get dirty.
Okay! Thank you very much?
Good morning,
I wonder if the sensations are the same as with fire bolas knowing that they have chains unlike these which have cords?
I also wonder how much light they can give off compared to the luminous ones? Otherwise, I might as well get the Dragy-Poi Bolas.
Thank you in advance for your help.
In fact, Dragy-poi bolas are made with chains and the sensation will be closer to that obtained with fire bolas.
Hello, I'm a teenager so I'm not very tall! (1m60) I wanted to know if the bolas would be too long?
thanks in advance
Adjustable string length
If the ropes are too long, you can simply move the knot and if it bothers you, you can cut off the excess cord. This is intentionally designed for long ropes so that everyone can adjust the length of the rope.
You'll need a pair of scissors if you want to cut off the excess cord. We recommend warming the end of the cord a little after cutting to prevent it from fraying.
just to advise you to move these bolas to the light section and not the fire section, it took me an hour to realize which one was in this section.
otherwise very good site where you can find all the products and they are really well made.
Thanks for your comment, but the glow-in-the-dark balls aren't really luminous... They are a little luminous, it's true! I'll see about putting them in both categories!
In fact, I am a beginner and I wanted to know if the phospho bolas are recommended for beginners?
I don't know much about it, can you advise me on "phosphor" bolas, not too long and which don't hurt too much. I want to use them outdoors and at night. What do you suggest? Thank you...
Indeed, your choice should be made according to your needs... If you are a beginner, the phosphorescent bolas are good quality bolas, super strong, you will really have to mistreat them to see them suffer even a little... On the other hand, be careful, if you want to practice super quickly with movements at 100 an hour, be careful, these bolas can hurt if you take them in the head or other parts of the body... It is almost inevitable for beginners! Opt instead for a pair of fabric bolas if this worries you... Otherwise, if you want to progress quickly to a fire model, then the phosphorescent bolas are a good intermediate step because they have a comfort and a weight similar to that which you will find on our fire bolas.
Complete answer!
Thank you so much.
I just saw a video,
I would like to learn and be able to progress on Fire Bolas.
Tell me, do you learn on your own?
Angy
Personally I don't practice bolas, or you really have to insist a lot ;-) I'm more into Balls and Clubs... So in fact, I don't learn how to do bolas at all... I learned the few tricks with customers passing through the store or at juggling conventions! I would say that the best way to learn is to wait until April when the juggling conventions start and go there, there are some all over France from April to September (approximately)... And they are great places to exchange and learn. Otherwise you can also buy a book, you have the book Le Poi that you will find by browsing on our website. It is a super complete book, very well illustrated! A sort of "bible" on bolas. Another alternative is to browse the net this time, there are many forums and sites with some explanations. Otherwise, you can also get inspiration from videos that you will find on our video sharing site: www.Juggletube.com or on YouTube.
Have fun.
