The spinning plate, a balance exercice:
It's all about the flexibility of the wrist. The spinning plate, also called the juggling plate, is a circus technique much appreciated by all. This practice requires good motor skills and some awareness of the body pattern.
The shape of the plate is such that it can be fairly easily balanced at the top of the stick. The basic movement is to rotate the plate at the end of the stick balanced on its center. This model from the German manufacturer Henrys is equipped with two ledges (floors), which gives it two levels of difficulty, depending on whether the person who practices is a beginner or if he already masters this discipline. It will also be possible to make tricks thanks to this specificity.
NetJuggler tips:
Start slowly, then gradually accelerate by drawing circles in the air with the end of the stick. The movement comes from the wrist. When the plate turns fast enough and stabilizes horizontally, block the movement and it stabilizes its rotation.
This is when you can try several tricks: launch the plate and catch it on the stick. Pass the plate from the stick to a finger of your hand or to a finger of your friend!
The booklet to learn the discipline.
