By ordering this item, you will receive two cords and handles. They're already assembled and you can attach V2 Flowtoys Capsules to it. (The capsules are not included).

This item is a Smithy cord system for poi. The cords are equipped with "uni knob" silicone handles. Smithy cords have a diameter of 6mm.

At the end of each cord, there's a simple fixation system to attach the capsules to the poi, as found on the PodPoi.

The handles are made of silicone, they are comfortable and easy to handle, allowing you to perform throws and quickly switch to one-handed movements.

The Smithy cord is recognized by connoisseurs of the Flowtoys brand because it is soft and pleasant in the hand but it has quite a few interesting properties that make it an interesting tool for designing your flow equipment. The rope has a diameter of 6 mm. To be more precise, the diameter is closer to 6.5mm. It was developed by Charlie Cushing of Lanternsmith.

Technical characteristics of the Smithy cord:

Flexible.
No stretch.
Very resistant.
No shrinkage.
Better abrasion and UV resistance than nylon and MFP ropes.
Material: Braided polyester (12 strands).
Diameter: 6.5mm or 0.25".

Some information on the Smithy cord used here on this set:

The Smithy cord is a braided polyester cord with 12 strands to make a cord with a final diameter of 6 mm. The rope is flexible and has better abrasion and UV resistance than nylon and MFP ropes used on many other juggling/poi props. This structure will not shrink and it has a high breaking strength.

If you need to adjust the length of your cords, do it on the side of the handles. The Smithy cord can be cut with scissors - however you will need to melt the ends to prevent the cord from fraying.

If you have an old version of the Podpoi (V1 for example), buying this set will give your poi a good facelift and offer you top comfort. But if we have this set it is also for those of you who want to make your own equipment from V2 capsules because you can directly "plug / connect" your V2 capsules on these cords.
