This ball is sold individually.
Play now manufactures the white ball in matt. It does not have a shiny finish like the other balls. Be careful if you mix the colours, the finish of the white is not the same :-)
A ball with the "perfect" diameter:
At first glance, the SIL-X is a stage ball, and this is absolutely true except that its characteristics are quite special. The plastic is flexible and 1/3 the volume of the ball is filled with Liquid Silicone . This puts the center of gravity at the very bottom of it, thus allowing very stable and precise ball trajectories on high throws. It also facilitates juggling with the feet as well as contact juggling and tricks at the level of the head. The principle is inspired by that of Russian balls.
Unlike all types of grains, the liquid silicone slides perfectly inside the ball so that even when the ball is sent with a spin, the ball does not go off twist as it tends to happen with Russian balls when they are thrown poorly.
Silicone is injected through an almost imperceptible valve that helps maintaining the visual appearance of a stage ball.
Note that the silicone used is absolutely harmless and non-toxic since it is a silicone used as a food lubricant (YUCK!)
Allows you to carry up to 6 balls like these. The bag will be automatically added to your order when being prepared if you order at least 5 of these balls. :-)
NetJuggler's opinion on the Sil-x 75mm:
A size of ball that is suitable for multiple styles of juggling and multiple numbers of balls. With this diameter, the Sil-x 75mm is as well suited to practice with three balls as for the practice with more than 5 balls. Where the Sil-x in 78mm becomes a bit difficult to juggle beyond 5 balls, the 75mm version will excel.
Characteristics of the SIL-X:
- Diameter: 75mm.
- Weight: 130g.
- Colours: Available in Red, Orange, White, Green, Blue, Yellow and Pink.
What kind of use ?
The SILX75 ball is excellent for experienced jugglers and to juggle from 3 to 7 balls. If you're a beginner, NetJuggler advises you to opt for the Varana 441 ball.

I'm hesitating between the sil-x 75mm and the sil-x 67mm
The 67mm looks good for 4 and 5 balls but I'm afraid it might be a bit light for 3 balls
The 75 mm is good for 3 and 4 balls but I'm afraid that for 5 balls it will be a little too big
Which one to choose?
?
Which Silx ball diameter should I choose between 75mm and 67mm? Regarding the size of the ball without having them in hand, it's not easy to make a choice!
Silx 67mm balls for learning 5-ball?
If you are learning 5-ball, then I recommend the 67mm Silx balls or the 70mm Silx light balls . Small diameter balls will help avoid too many collisions and make learning easier. They will not be too light for 3-ball, but indeed for 3-ball it could be interesting to opt for larger balls which will facilitate the integration of contact for example (easier because they are heavier and larger) and they will also be more visual.
Which balls for a reliable 5-ball
If your 5 balls are already comfortable then the 75mm and 78mm versions are interesting balls to use because they are very visual and they force you to have a more aerial and airy juggling...
The 75mm is ideal for 5, 6 and 7 balls... The 78mm balls will be difficult to use for 6 and 7 balls because they are a little too big which makes starting with 6 and 7 balls difficult. If you already have a good 5 ball and you plan to improve your 6 and 7 balls, I recommend the 75mm balls more than the 78mm. Finally, if you are a beginner on your 6 and 7 balls, the Silx 67 or the Silx Light 70mm will be more suitable. Conclusion on the choice of balls
Customizable balls: Varana
If you want small diameter balls, we also have the Varana 441 balls with a diameter of 65mm which have a cap which allows you to fill them as you wish and thus obtain the mass and type of ball you want. Filling with millet or silicone for example (more information on the Varana 441 ball page).
Can the 75mm Sil-X balls from Play go in water, sand, grass or even on tarmac?
Using Silx Balls Outdoors
Sil-x balls are robust and made for intensive use indoors and outdoors. They will scratch slightly over time if you use them on tarmac or gravel, but this is really negligible and will be the case for any type of PVC ball. Fabric balls will also wear more with intensive use on tarmac/gravel.
Silx- balls and inks
All PVC balls react badly in the presence of inks. Indeed, if you transport your balls in contact with a magazine, newspaper or other, you risk that the ball will be impregnated with the ink on these supports and the balls will not be able to clean themselves. If you need your balls to remain beautiful and shiny, we advise you to isolate them in a fabric bag for example or in a box provided for this purpose. When we transport our balls with our traveling shop, we put them in wooden boxes that we have made by a manufacturer of wine boxes, their prices are generally reasonable and if you are a professional, we recommend this type of box.
Traveling with Sil-X balls by plane
You just have to be careful not to carry them in the hold of a plane (simply because of the significant pressure change that could cause the caps to leak). We recommend taking them in the cabin with you.
I just received my 3 sil-x in 75, and I already love them :)
First order from you, but certainly not the last!
