Thanks to Stefan Sing and to Cristiana Casadio for lending us their photos and to Gautier Trischler for his video to illustrate this page.
This ball is sold individually.
An exceptional juggling ball:
At first glance, the SIL-X is a stage ball, and this is absolutely true except that its characteristics are quite special. The plastic is flexible and 1/3 the volume of the ball is filled with liquid silicone. This places the center of gravity at the very bottom of the ball, thus allowing very stable and precise ball trajectories to be obtained on high throws. It also facilitates juggling with the feet as well as contact and tricks at the level of the head. The principle is similar to that of Russian balls.
The silicone is injected via an almost imperceptible valve which preserves the visual appearance of a stage ball.
Note that the silicone used is absolutely harmless and non-toxic since it is a silicone used as a lubricant in food (yuck!)
Allows you to carry up to 5 balls like these. The bag will automatically be added to your order when being prepared if you order at least 5 of these balls. :-)
NetJuggler's opinion:
Unlike all types of grains, the liquid silicone slides perfectly inside the ball so that even when the ball is sent in a hazardous way, it does not go spinning.
Characteristics of the SIL-X:
- Diameter: 78mm.
- Weight: 150g.
- Colours: Available in Red, Orange, White, Green, Blue, Yellow and Pink.

What kind of use ?
The SILX78 ball is excellent for experienced jugglers and for juggling with 3 to 7 balls. If you are a beginner, NetJuggler advises you instead to opt for the Varana 441 ball.

Hello, which is better between sil-x 75mm and gballz e8 pro?
To make 3 to 5 balls? Knowing that gballz are very expensive
Hello, I might soon order my first sil-x and I'm wondering what diameter to choose for 3 to 5 balls knowing that I'm 14 years old and that I have small hands.
What diameter Silx ball should I choose! That's an excellent question :-) Regarding the size of the ball without having them in hand, it's not easy to make a choice!
Which balls should I use to learn 5-ball?
If you are learning 5-ball, then I recommend the 67mm Silx balls or the 70mm Silx light balls . Smaller diameter balls will help avoid too many collisions.
Which balls for a reliable 5-ball
If your 5 ball is already comfortable then the 75mm and 78mm versions are interesting balls to use because they are very visual and they force you to have a more aerial and airy juggling... The 75mm is ideal for the 5, 6 and 7 balls... The 78mm balls will be difficult to use for the 6 and 7 balls because they are a little too big which makes the start with 6 and 7 balls difficult.Choose Silx in 78mm
It is generally jugglers who already have a good foundation in 6 and 7 balls who use 78mm Silx. The 78mm are also excellent for 3 ball jugglers, especially for incorporating contact tricks where the balls roll over the arms and body.
Choosing Silx Hybrid Balls
Finally, if you make a lot of stops on the body, on the arms, the head or even if you juggle with the feet, the Silx Hybrid are also excellent balls, they stop much more clearly and they land better on the feet than normal Silx.THANKS!
Last question is can the sil-x go in water, sand, grass or on concrete?
Having ordered colored Sil-X around October 2014, I have the impression that the colors have changed, it looks like the ones in the photos are varnished... True?
The green, however, is unchanged. It's been the same for a long time now. I admit that photos can be misleading.
You should refer to our photo where the ball is alone (scroll through the photos at the top of this page).
The photos where several balls are visible are those provided by the manufacturer and indeed the green is distorted and appears lighter. I will take note of your comment and take a series of photos of Silx 78mm in the next few days so that there is no possible error on the color of the green ball. Thank you for pointing this out to me :-)On the other hand, the ball is shiny, but the 78mm version has always been shiny (they lose a little of their shine when they have been used for a while, which may explain the difference between your balls and those in the photos). On the other hand, the smaller 67mm version is not shiny: it is much more matte with a rather "peach skin" finish.
Can these balls be used exclusively in contact with several balls in the hand?
Is the surface sticky? As much as pure silicone balls?
The balls are shiny and therefore grippy when new or when washed.
As soon as they have been used a little in a "non-clinical" environment :-) then they will be able to slide against each other and therefore be used for contact and manipulation. To restore their shine, simply run them under water :-)
When they fall to the ground, do they roll a lot?
To say they don't roll would be a lie! They're very round! But they roll less than stage balls because the liquid silicone slows them down.
If you're looking for balls that don't roll, there are the Silx Hybrid balls , which have the same shells as the 78mm diameter Silx balls. So they look the same. And they're filled with 80% millet, which means they don't roll at all. These balls are excellent for practicing contact, saves, and foot juggling.I would like to know if they are durable outdoors. Thanks in advance!
Oh yes! That's some tough stuff ;-)
These balls are very robust and will withstand intensive use both indoors and outdoors. Be careful, however, like all Silx balls, they will not be suitable for travel in the hold of an airplane due to the depressurization. This will subject them to intense pressure, which risks detaching their cap.
