A glowing diabolo equipped with triple bearings:
Glowing translucent diabolo with a Turbo effect.
The Cyclone Quartz V2 is a diabolo equipped with a triple bearing. It has a wide axis and translucent cups.
This version is the 2nd generation Quartz diabolo which has without a doubt been the best selling ball bearing diabolo in the world. It has been completely redesigned here, with more resistant cups. These shells now have more harmonious and rounded shapes for maximum comfort when the diabolo hits the body of the person practicing. The bearing system has also been revised. It is indeed more robust and quieter. It will therefore meet the requirements of diabolists who practice intensively both indoors and outdoors.
Translucent diabolo with a turbo effect:
The diabolo works like a simple ball-bearing diabolo, except that there are three bearings, which gives it a turbo effect (hence its name Cyclone). Thanks to its speed, the diabolo is very stable and will spin up to twenty times longer than a standard diabolo. This means that the player has more time to perform and prepare their tricks.
It then becomes possible to chain multiple sequences of tricks (combos). Due to its wide axis, it even allows you to grind on your fingers or on the handsticks.
Netjuggler's opinion on the ball bearing diabolo:
Strongly recommended if you are looking to spend hours of fun handling a diabolo.
A diabolo equipped with bearings is not more difficult to use than a normal diabolo. On the contrary, once the basics have been mastered, it will be possible to progress more easily because we spend less time re-accelerating the diabolo.
We appreciate here that the manufacturer has heard the feedback that was given to him on the previous version: he is putting a little gem in our hands here!
This diabolo has a shiny aspect, which gives it a very impressive visual. However, if you use it on tar or gravel for example, it may scratch more easily than opaque models. This will in no way interfere with the use of the diabolo but may impact its aesthetics. If you want a diabolo that does not scratch or only slightly, you should opt for a more high-end model. We advise you at this time to opt instead for a diabolo from the brand Henrys (renowned German manufacturer: the choice of professionals).
Technical characteristics of the Cyclone Quartz diabolo:
- Weight: 270g.
- Diameter: 105mm.
- Width: 125 mm.
- Axis: fixed.
- Axis width: 10mm.
- Equipped with 6 LEDs.
- A black and white colour code on each side of the axis, allows you to determine the direction of use of the diabolo.
What kind of use ?
This diabolo, thanks to its triple ball bearing, is ideal for executing tricks. It's perfect for beginners !
NetJuggler tips:
If you are a beginner, NetJuggler advises you to take a reel of string with your order. Indeed, beginners with dry and jerky movements wear out the strings very quickly, in a few hours, where the same string can last a few weeks for an experienced diabolist. This may save you from having to pay shipping fees again when your string is worn out.
For an excellent maintenance of the LED set on this diabolo, it is advisable to use a little loctite on the bolts.
NetJuggler information on the bearing diabolos:
If you are unfamiliar with ball bearing diabolos, the principle is as it follows: once your diabolo has taken speed, it will keep it much longer than a normal axis diabolo. Here are some of the advantages:
- Rotation time up to 20 times longer than that of a normal diabolo.
- Possibility to do many tricks without having to re-accelerate your diabolo.
- Wide axis to facilitate many tricks.
- Minimal friction between the axis and the handsticks during grinds / slides.
- Limits friction when practicing vertax (vertical axis of the diabolo).
Children and beginners will love it because its axis will allow very long grinds, allowing to catch the diabolo on the handsticks or even the fingers!
Triple bearing for experienced diabolists:The interest for an experienced diabolist will be to facilitate excalibur (or vertax) tricks, in which the diabolo will be used in a horizontal plane (with its axis vertical).
Triple bearing for teachers:Teachers will have plenty of time to explain tricks to beginners because the diabolo does not stop spinning ! No need to be an expert to transmit new tricks.
Some drawbacks or limitations of ball bearings : it becomes impossible to do all the elevator tricks. These bearing diabolos are not made to practice with several diabolos (except vertax), because they will spin too quickly on the string compared to diabolos equipped with normal axis. It may be necessary to change the bearing system once the bearing balls show wear, which of course never happen on a normal diabolo!

Hello, I'm trying to find out the size of the nuts so I can buy some. Is there a special type? Are these bolts special, or will any bolt work, knowing the size?
These are bolts in the European thread format, size 10. If you have trouble finding them, let us know and we might be able to help you :-)
Hello, is it possible to change the batteries?
If so, how and what type of flat batteries please?
Thanks a lot !
Batteries for the light kit:
The kit comes complete with batteries; there are 3 "button cell" batteries in each kit. When you need to change the batteries, you will need 6 AG13 (LR44) type batteries, which you can easily find in stores.
Equip yourself with a very small Phillips screwdriver to open the kit and replace your batteries. Remember to recycle your batteries . Button batteries are very easy to recycle. We're better at recycling button batteries than rechargeable batteries, for example!
Hello, can't we choose the color of the diabolo?
The color is chosen once you have clicked on the add to cart button :-)
Hello, don't the LEDs get damaged when the diabolo falls?
The LED system is robust. However, it is still recommended not to use a diabolo equipped with LEDs for training and to focus on tricks where the diabolo rarely falls! This will make your light kit last much longer!
Please add the baguettes to the offer.
I'm thinking of getting this light kit with the diabolo, but first I'd like to know if we have a choice of colors? If not, what color is it?
THANKS
Each LED block contains 3 LEDs: one blue, one green, and one red. There is no choice of colors. All 3 LEDs are lit at the same time, which creates a multi-colored effect when the diabolo is spinning.
Does the lighting system have multiple programs? Is there an on/off button on it?
There is an on/off button :-) And only one program: all three LEDs are on at the same time permanently :-)
Please Matthew Slade put a video for each article
Great idea! I admit it would be really great! But I only live once ;-) I'm already trying to take as many photos as possible and write full descriptions! But that would be really cool...
Hello. Will you be putting light kits back in stock soon?
The light kits will be out of stock for some time to come. We don't have a restocking date yet. Not before the end of March 2016.
Is the diabolo durable because I use mine a lot and I'm thinking of buying another one but I'm looking for a very, very durable one.
Is it good for professionals or more for children?
The Cyclone Quartz V2 diabolo is a diabolo for everyone. It is very powerful and allows for many tricks. Professionals will tend to use larger diabolos than this one, which can be a little too heavy for children (under 12 years old). If you are looking for professional equipment, NetJuggler recommends the German brand Henrys, which offers several models equipped with ball bearings. Their highest-end models are: the Circus Free and the Vision Free.
