Polyester yo-yo strings

Item sold individually, in a set of 10 strings.
Pack of 10 yo-yo strings:
This is a bag of 10 NetJuggler polyester yo-yo strings.
These are ideal for all styles of play and all levels. They are robust and offer a longer lifespan than cotton strings.
Just like diabolo strings, it is good to note that the dyes used on the yo-yo strings have an influence on the reactivity of the strings. If you are demanding with your strings, it may be interesting for you to try several colours.
In the end, your choice will really depend on your taste. It's up to you to try and see which string suits you the most.
Receive a mix of several colours, usually 7 different ones. The mix of colours may vary slightly depending on our manufactured series.
NetJuggler tips:
Which string to choose?
Yo-yo strings are available in polyester or cotton.
Polyester fibers are not natural, they are rather rigid and are therefore much stronger than cotton fiber strings.
Cotton yo-yo strings are more fragile, they will last less, but they are softer and allow a better feeling of the yo-yo.
To attach a string to a fixed axis yo-yo (wooden axis):
For this type of yo-yo, it is essential to change the strings regularly. The wear of the string around the axis is the most important on this type of yoyo, this can be dangerous... Remember to check the wear of your string regularly.
The changing technique consists of unrolling the end of the string (part without a knot), to form a small loop. From there, continue unrolling until your yo-yo can pass through the loop. Afterwards, all you have to do is pass the loop of the string through the slot of the yo-yo and leave it hanging so that the string returns to its initial shape.
To attach a string to a yoyo with a bearing:
The technique is the same as before, but with a variation...
Depending on the "response" (ability of the yo-yo to climb up the string), you can adjust the string so that it is more or less docile...
To do this, after inserting the string into the slot of the yo-yo, turn it 180° to form a second loop and pass it through the slot. There, you have a double loop around your axis. This technique makes it possible to give more or less response to bearing yo-yos. You can of course repeat the operation depending on the response obtained. On some ball bearing yo-yos it is not necessary to make this second loop...
Adjust the lenght of the string:
In general, the length of the string is up to belly button level when the yo-yo is fully unrolled on the ground. Stretch the thread and cut 4cm above your navel.
With the cut end, form a knot. Then pass the thread through the loop of the knot, to form a slip knot. Expand the loop and run your finger through it. Make sure that the loop is tight and in the right side, i.e. the small loop formed with the knot should always point towards the thumb. If this is not the case, loosen, remove your finger, and repeat the tightening step in the right direction this time.

Hello, I'm going to buy a Duncan Pulse =) Are there fluorescent strings or does the light from the yo-yo not affect normal colored polyester strings? Thanks in advance.
I don't quite understand the nature of your question. Are you saying you're looking for glow-in-the-dark strings? Or are you looking for fluorescent strings that react to UV (black) light?
THANKS
And with wear and tear, would my polyester string be at risk of tearing?
As I said in my previous answer: If you have a polyester string, there is very little risk of breakage.
Thank you for your quick response.
Good morning
I would like to know how it is that his yo-yo string is worn out.
Sincerely
When to change your yo-yo string?
It's a matter of feeling and experience. As soon as you feel any discomfort that could be coming from the string, it might be time to change it. If you feel more comfortable with a new one, it's because it needed to be changed.
If you have a polyester string, there is very little risk of it breaking.
