To practice this tutorial, you will need to know how to speed up your diabolo. You will learn how to do the Mini Catch. This is a throw where the diabolo barely leaves the string, it is a precision throw. You will therefore already need to know how to throw and catch a diabolo. See the tutorial 3.
For the realization of this tutorial, we equipped ourselves with a large diabolo, equipped with triple bearings, the Hurricane. You can also do this trick with a fixed axis diabolo. The fact that we use a diabolo equipped with bearings makes the trick easier to achieve because the diabolo will keep its speed longer than a diabolo equipped with a fixed axis.
For the video, we used a very, very thick string that is not normally used for practicing the diabolo. The only advantage of using this thick string is to allow a better understanding of the video because we see it better on the screen than a real diabolo string.
