Introduction to Javi Pinto's Video:

We ventured out to play with Javier Pinto in the old town of Le Mans, France. A way to kick off his European tour in 2023 for the best festival summer experience. Filmed in half a day, each of us driven by our love for our art: circus and cinema.

This video is presented as part of the video competition at the Juggling Film Festival 2023.

Competition Information:

Participants had between 60 and 90 seconds to captivate and move the audience.

The competition videos were screened on August 31, 2023, at the Dietritch Cinema in Poitiers on a 12-meter screen as part of the national juggling convention organized by the Mamagabe association, held in Poitiers in 2023.

About Javi Pinto:

Javier Pinto, juggler and actor, is a co-founder of the Circo Lacustre de Villarrica performance company, located in the south of Chile, where Javier grew up and began his artistic journey. In 2006, he moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he started his professional training, exploring and deepening various stage languages such as mime-theatre and stage juggling. With these learnings, he developed his own style blending these techniques and created his first artistic act, presented at various festivals and conventions in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, and Brazil between 2010 and 2013. In 2014, he returned to Villarrica, where he participated in educational projects of Circo Social and became part of the cast of the newly formed Circo Lacustre Company. Among the company's productions, the following can be mentioned: Pic – Nic (2016) and Sin Tierra (2017), circus-theatre shows with which he toured different cities in Chile. In 2017, he premiered his solo clown and juggling show "Va qué Va," with which he participated in various festivals in Europe during the 2018 season.
