The competition videos were screened on August 31, 2023, at the Dietritch cinema in Poitiers on a 12-meter screen as part of the national juggling convention organized by the Mamagabe association, which took place in Poitiers in 2023.
Information about juggler Ricardo S Mendes:
Ricardo S. Mendes is a Portuguese multidisciplinary artist born in Setubal in 1994. Trained in circus arts, he studied at Lezarti'cirque in Sainte-Croix, at the École de Cirque de Lyon, and at the Centre National des Arts du Cirque, where he specialized in juggling, acrobatics, and dance. Before venturing into circus, he received training as an Architectural Draughtsman. In 2021, Le Monde newspaper selected him as one of the "twelve artists to watch."
He is best known for his on-stage performances, where he distinguishes himself not only with his technique but also with his offbeat humor and charisma. He has collaborated with several companies such as Les Nouveaux Nez, La Cie L'oubliée, and Le Collectif TBTF. Ricardo S. Mendes has also worked for prestigious brands like Dior, Van Cleef, Les Galeries Lafayette, and Le BHV Marais, for which he has created artistic performances.
He regularly works with video and social media, where he shares his work and artistic universe. He has appeared on various television shows such as Boite noire on Canal+, Culturebox, and France 4. In 2022, he participated in the latest music video of Ibrahim Maalouf, "Feeling Good," shot in New York, where he juggled in the city's streets and subway.
Along with his two faithful companions, Juri Bisegna and Timothé Vincent, he is associated with the company Les Nouveaux Nez, based in Bourg-Saint-Andéol. The trio regularly presents their creation "Mellow Yellow," a poetic and original show that combines a circusography of acrobatics, juggling, and dance.
