An invitation to participate in the "Juggling Movie Festival"

POITIERS - Passionate jugglers and videographers will have a unique opportunity to shine at the French National Juggling Convention in Poitiers. Mamagabe and Cordialement Bisous, two iconic figures in French juggling, invite emerging and established talents to participate in the " Juggling Movie Festival ," a juggling video competition .

A platform for cinematic creativity

The event will offer participants a platform to showcase their 60- to 90-second short films, captivating audiences with their cinematic talent. Whether you're a seasoned director or a budding filmmaker, the festival encourages you to let your imagination run wild and experiment with visual techniques while incorporating juggling techniques. Originality and creativity will be the key words in this competition.

Artistic Freedom and Video Submission

The topics covered in the videos can range from comical to dramatic, as long as there's a connection to juggling. Participants are invited to explore any theme that interests them and express their passion through unique works.

Evaluation criteria and submission deadline

The competition will be judged on several criteria, including originality, juggling skills, storytelling, technical quality of the video, and emotional impact. The deadline for video submissions is August 24, 2023. Participants must send their creation via WeTransfer to jmf@metlili.net, including the video title, their first and last name, and country.

Distribution of selected works and international participation

A special feature of this competition is that it is open internationally , allowing talent from all over the world to participate, even if they are physically absent from the convention. The selected works will be screened on August 31 at the Dietrich Cinema in Poitiers on an impressive 12-meter screen.
The public will also play a key role, as they will award four prizes to the best achievements, through a ballot distributed in the room.

Awards for film talent

The prizes at stake are particularly attractive: the first prize is €130, the second €70, the third prize offers a Pass for the 2024 Convention, while the fourth prize is a €200 voucher to be used on Netjuggler.net . A special prize, in the form of a €100 voucher also valid on Netjuggler.net , will be awarded by random drawing among the participants who did not win the other prizes. In other words, everyone has a chance to leave with a reward.
